May is Maternal Mental Health Month!
1 in 5 mothers experiences a maternal mental health condition during pregnancy or postpartum, yet many go undiagnosed and untreated. Black mothers are disproportionately impacted due to systemic barriers, lack of access, and disparities in care.
Maternal mental health matters because healthy mothers mean healthier families and communities. Support, early intervention, and honest conversations can save lives.
This month, let’s continue advocating for accessible, culturally responsive care and reminding mothers that they deserve support too.
