“This is what stuff should cost” is always posted by someone who has clearly never paid rent, payroll, insurance, taxes, or utilities.

Everyone loves cheap prices in theory.

Very few people want the reality that comes with them.

A $1 coffee only exists when labor is cheap, rent is low, and margins are ignored.

A $150,000 house only exists in a market that disappeared years ago.

I get the anger, because everything feels expensive right now.

But pretending prices are wrong instead of acknowledging costs changed doesn’t fix anything.

Stuff didn’t randomly get greedy.

Money got weaker, inputs got more expensive, and expectations stayed frozen in 2005.

You can be mad about it.

Just don’t confuse wish lists with how the world actually works.
