On the outside of each FRESHEALTH box, you can spot our new kid-friendly mascots designed to make fresh produce fun and approachable!

After a creative naming campaign with our followers, "Ms. Spears", "Mango Jo", "Kip Kiwi", and "Jicama Jones" can officially be found on our social media, our boxes, but their impact is more than just visual!

We intentionally crafted each mascot to bring a unique perspective to food education, whether it's food safety, farm-to-table, energy and wellness, or curiosity about where food comes from. By giving these characters distinct roles, we're helping teachers connect food education lessons to imaginative storylines that spark curiosity and reinforce nutrition knowledge in the classroom.

By pairing healthy habits with child-centered storytelling that inspires the next generation, FRESHEALTH continues to stand out in school nutrition.

Fresh veggies should look, smell, and feel appetizing. When they start to go bad, you’ll usually notice changes in color, texture, and odor. 🥦

Veggies that were once crisp can become soft or slimy, bright colors may fade or darken, and an unpleasant smell might develop. Some may even sprout or grow mold. These are all natural signs that the produce is no longer safe to eat. Paying attention to these cues not only helps you avoid food waste but also keeps your meals safe and healthy! 🥕
