Skyler Mouser is the founder and owner of Be Great Gym in Reynoldsburg, Ohio — a place that has become so much more than a gym. But before Be Great came to life, my brother lived and breathed football. He earned a full-ride scholarship out of high school and even joined the Marines. Then COVID hit, and like so many others, his world turned upside down. His plans changed, but his purpose did not.

Over the last five years, he has poured every ounce of his time, money, and heart into building what is now known as one of the best gyms in Columbus. But Be Great Gym isn’t just a business — it’s a community. It’s a place of friendship, faith, and transformation. It’s a space where people find hope, healing, and the strength to become better versions of themselves.

THEN: Groveport’s Main Street was once a site of new car bliss.
In 1955, C.A. Rager advertised used cars for $9 down. Rager’s dealership was located at the corner of Wirt Road and Main Street in the village of Groveport and was one of several dealerships in town at the time. Painter Motor Sales, also on Main Street, sold Chryslers.

NOW: the building is slated to be demolished in order to provide a better alignment for a four-way intersection. This demolition follows that of the KidSpace building in late summer. The project will reconfigure Wirt Road to create a right angle intersection of Wirt Road and Front Street; and create more parking in the municipal lot located along Wirt Road, Crooked Alley, and Cherry Street.
