Somali President Uses Strong Language at Arab League Summit
Doha, Qatar – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud used strong language at the Arab League summit, stressing that Somalia needs support since it does not possess weapons comparable to Israel’s arsenal.
The President declared that Somalia stands firmly alongside its brothers Qatar and Palestine, condemning violations of international law and urging the global community not to remain silent.
“Silence in the face of violations of international law will have dangerous consequences,” President Hassan Sheikh stated.
His remarks were widely interpreted as a clear warning to the international community, underlining that support from Arab states and the wider global community is essential in defending both the Palestinian people and Somalia, which lacks comparable military capacity.
The summit comes at a time of escalating tensions in the Middle East, with Arab states’ positions on Palestine under increasing global scrutiny.
