Jennifer Jackson is devoted to leading women to Jesus and walking beside them in support of their spiritual journey. Through the mission of Simply for Women she hopes to prepare women to take God off of their to-do list, to simply be, be with Him. She is energized by watching women grow and change into the beautiful design God has prepared for each of them and desires to make the spiritually complicated matters of life simple. By mentoring women, by helping them discover what God is offering them such as; healing, forgiveness, prayer and freedom, Jennifer inspires women to ultimately take His love and encourage others. Jennifer has joyfully served Jesus for over 30 years and leads many staff roles including; international missions, community outreach planner, next generation coordinator, and women’s ministry leader. She, along with her husband, Pastor Doyle Jackson, and an amazing group of Christians, revitalized a local church into a growing, life giving community. On her daily Radio Show and Podcast she dynamically connects with audiences of all ages, Jennifer shares her experiences and her own continuing journey to grow in Jesus.

There is nothing I love more than to pour into and bless our community and church family. I’ve been at The Church Next Door since I was 26 years old, hard to believe! I still love walking together, praying together, believing God for great things, watching Him do miracles and standing on His Word as one body. BEAUTIFUL

This weekend I’m going to share some of the rarely talked about Bible stories and look at how we can “Slow Down to Speed Up” because as we slow down and look UPWARD to God we get our instructions and then we have to turn our hearts INWARD and welcome the Holy Spirit to change, convict and comfort us. From there we face OUTWARD and begin to share a courageous and loving faith with the people around us.

I can’t wait to see you this weekend at 5pm on Saturday and 10 am on Sunday to STRENGTHEN your hope in the Lord.

Great conversation about the nature of who God is- His character is where we put our faith. He is dependable, trustworthy, all powerful, all knowing, healer, forgiver, faithful, provider, loving, merciful, mighty, never ending, creator, sustainer, keeper, miraculous, slow to anger, He is able, good and interested in the details of your life.

Sometimes it’s good to get up in the night to talk with the Lord. That’s what Nicodemus did! He had questions for Jesus. Was he embarrassed to know God? Was he afraid of danger or of what others might think? Whatever the reason he decided to sneak out at night. But how cool that the Lord met him! Even in the night God is working. He is always available for us.

It’s ok even good to ask the Lord questions. I love His response especially in John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear it’s sound, but you cannot tell where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

Then Jesus goes on to the most famous passage about how God so loved the whole world. He loves us. He wants us to be made new.

Nicodemus fell so in love with the Lord that he defended him and later he brought the spices for Jesus burial in John 19. He brought 75 pounds of spices! Oh the love! I want to pour out like that, don’t you? To be born again.

What are you believing God for today? Have faith? Believing for something GREAT big? Be encouraged your faith is God is trustworthy. He is true. He is able. He sees. He knows. He hears. He answers. Keep looking up to the One true and LIVING God.

Here is a quick exercise you can do this weekend. Ask yourself —- Who else is worth it? Who else is worthy?

It’s always good to take an inventory of our lives.
Here are some questions I ask myself in my quiet time with Him allowing more time for Him to answer back and help me make shifts and changes where He isn’t getting the glory.

It’s an evaluation of our time, our resources, our energy and our gifts.
Are they honoring God? Is He above all? Is He in all? Does He have freedom to speak and to move the way He chooses? Can He add something or is my time full? Can He take away something or am I holding too tightly? Can I wait patiently for Him to answer? Do I believe? Did I give Him all my worries today? Do I trust He hears me?

Now unto Him who is ABLE to do immeasurably more than all we can ask, imagine or even think- He is worthy

Deuteronomy 10:20-21 20 Fear the Lord your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name. 21 He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.

Does anyone else feel like they could just live in the book of Isaiah? I love it so much! Here is some encouragement from chapter 43.

God sees how precious you are, He loves you, He calls you. He is WITH you 🤍

But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the Lord your God,

Mother was my favorite way to say your name, how has two years passed without you hearing me call? It seems like yesterday you went to heaven, your hand in mine, your last breaths in my ear while I read Revelation 21.

All I remember is verse 4, saying aloud that He will wipe every tear from our eyes while mine overflowed and yours were closed. I know you could hear me mom. A mother to me and a mother to many.

Your lessons on prayer are now my way of my life as well. Your words on forgiveness, moving forward, holding steady, walking in love, receiving His grace, knowing God, having faith and enjoying life ring in my ears. I hear you sing one octave above already in tune with heaven.

So I walk down memory lane to reach for the simple things like sharing miracle face cream, drinking ice tea on the porch, shopping for you at Talbots, running into Kroger for just one more thing, late night chats til we can’t keep our eyes open, long trips to Israel and walks on the road to Damascus, together meeting with woman after woman to hear her story, share your wisdom and watch the Holy Spirit move and heal in her life, summer farmers markets and freezing vast amounts of corn, dreaming together of the future, reminiscing together as you told me all the stories of your parents and the times we decorated and redecorated a room bring truckloads of wicker furniture home just in time to set the table for the dinner we were serving the family.

Oh so many memories I can’t even write them down, but in my heart you live. I hear your love in my head and know it was real. I hope one day my laugh and life touches as many as yours did. You modeled everything— well done! We will see each other again one day, until then I’m sure you are on a heavenly assignment.
