‼️Interstate Closure‼️

Sunday January 11, 2026~9:30 am

I-65 Northbound is currently closed near the 36 mile marker in southern Jackson County due to semis being stuck on an ice/snow covered bridge. Northbound traffic is being diverted off of I-65 at Exit 34-Austin in Scott County while the vehicles are being moved and the roadway gets treated.

Use caution this morning as there are numerous slick roads in the area.

..Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southeastern Shelby,
southern Rush, Decatur, southeastern Brown, Bartholomew, northern
Jackson and northern Jennings Counties through 600 AM EST...

At 512 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Shelbyville to near Columbus to 10 miles north
of Brownstown. Movement was east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Columbus, Shelbyville, Greensburg, North Vernon, Rushville, Adams,
Hope, Flat Rock, Milford, Westport, Geneva, St. Paul, Elizabethtown,
Hartsville, Milroy, Glenwood, Clifford, Jonesville, Millhousen, and
Newbern.
