Hey plant fam! Welcome back to Lay’s Place 🧡

I finally took the plunge and deflasked my first tissue culture plants — two stunning variegated Alocasias (Jacqueline and Yakatan Princess)! Watch me open the packs, clean off the agar, disinfect with betadine, pot them up in tree fern, and start the acclimation process.

Shoutout to for the plants, kit, and instructions! I was super nervous but it was easier than I expected.

If you’ve been wanting to try tissue culture or score rare plants on a budget, this one’s for you.
