Guys and gals....
This is going to be a long and hard to write release....
I am sorry for my long absence from here. I have been dealing with a lot since December. Between loosing 3 pretty close friends in 3 different situations all in the same week in December, a personal situation with my family, and nearly loosing Rudy Smith (my step father and former V3 drummer) to a stroke... I was mentally pushed too far!
As i was sitting in the hospital all January with Rudy... I was watching the developments of what was leaking out of China... all the while thinking, hope America doesn't catch this cold. As I was watching reports of people being welded in their homes and Wuhan being quarantined, I was watching my stepfather fighting for his life and mental awareness. Trying to work when i could and constantly staying at the hospital by his side. As the date got closer to releasing Motorcycle Movies L.P. the crushing knowledge that i hadn't met budgetary resources necessary to get the product together, the strength of my depression grew...
My plan, unfortunately was to be a little later than expected for I knew I had a huge volume of work on the horizon that would enable me to earn the money needed to fulfill buget and get the album at least released, but late doing so....
Then March 8th as I was setting up for the Arnold Fitness Expo in Columbus, Ohio ( an event I was expecting to make nearly all the 'short' money for production) we were told in the middle of our first shift after 3hrs of work that the Fitness Expo was going to be forced to shut down on the Governor's orders. I was devistated!!!!
Because I knew this was only the tip of the iceberg.... and was even on WBNS 10tv telling the world what I suspected on my departure from the convention center.
And one by one, show by show and gig by gig.... they were all cancelled....
The whole concert season of 2020 is pretty much cancelled! This is/was the main source of my households income as me and my wife along side of Rudy... we buld shows and work in conventions, theater and concerts.
As of now, I have 1 gig on my books. This is to go turn the Greater Columbus Convention Center in to 1, 000 a makeshift hospital rooms to care for people that have contracted COVID-19 and quite possibly die. I start that Tuesday.... everything else until August is cancelled or postponed, and hope that even that is still 'ON' as we (humanity) still doesn't know what the future will bring as the virus continues to kill thousands.... we have yet to see the extent of this
Then amongst all this.... I should be happy to say that Rudy is returning from rehab on Monday.... in the middle of this epidemic going on....
But I am not.... as I said before I am setting up a makeshift hospital and it seems that Rudy is in that special age bracket that is extreemly susceptible to this virus....
The long in short of it is...
I want to get the albums to you all.... its going to take some time!
I knew I should have been more transparent with what I am going through and any delays that I encountered... just know you all will get them.
And I don't have an exact date.
I promise I will keep you all better informed of the details as I can get this mess dealt with and get you all your copies who preordered them.... and everyone else that wants them!!!!
This is but a minor setback in the grand scheme of things....
