NPR 'founding mother' Susan Stamberg passed away today. She truly paved the way for women on the radio. I met her in 2018 while on a tour of the NPR headquarters. She was a delight to talk to!

For centuries, humans have been entertained by death. From Edgar Allan Poe’s morbid literature to true crime documentaries and horror movies. Eighty-four percent of the U.S. population aged 13 and older are true crime consumers, according to a recent report.

There are a variety of ways to consume true crime stories from podcasts to TV shows to movies to books and more.
