As part of our commitment to keeping communication clear and consistent, this is our monthly reminder about our updated terms. Our goal is always to ensure everyone remains fully informed.
All communication should be done through he HELPDESK (https://therealsocialcompany.freshdesk.com) , this is the best way to keep track of everything and keep a log. If you email us, text us, anything like that we cannot even guarantee we received it.
All current terms are always available HERE (https://therealsocialcompany.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/153000246676-terms-of-service) in the Knowledgebase section of the Helpdesk (https://therealsocialcompany.freshdesk.com/) . In each invoice there is a link to the current terms, and on the website, and on each helpdesk ticket.
These updated terms override any older versions found on past invoices, contracts, or agreements. Each update is dated, and we send notifications whenever changes occur.
By paying your monthly invoice, you are agreeing to these terms.
Key Terms (Long-Standing Policies)
To avoid any confusion, here are the primary terms that have been in effect for many years regarding service cancellations and billing:
Cancellation Policy
A 30-day written notice is required for canceling any service.
All cancellation requests must be submitted through the Helpdesk.
With proper notice, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
If services are canceled without notice, termination is immediate, all admin privileges are revoked, and no refunds or credits are issued.
Why? Based on past experiences, when people cancel without notice, they are typically trying to move their website to another developer or service without notifying us.
We keep many licensed professional plugins on your websites, and we do not wish for these to be taken or moved. It causes many issues for us with the plugin authors and our licensing.
We have no desire to keep any website that wishes to move; we do not want the files, we do not need the content, etc, etc. With a 30-day notice, we will help you have a SMOOTH site move, SEO move, or Social Media move.
This is why service is stopped immediately, and access is removed.
Pro-rated credits may be offered at our discretion, depending on circumstances.
Overdue Payments
2 Days Overdue: A $15 late fee is applied.
This can be easily avoided by keeping a valid card on file.
5 Days Overdue: All services are suspended immediately, with a $25 restoration fee to reactivate.
10 Days Overdue: All services are fully shut off, and the account is closed. Websites, backups, content, social media content, and data are permanently removed.
Restoration:
Suspended websites may be restored within 30 days for a $75 fee.
After 30 days, restoration is no longer possible, and data cannot be recovered.
Data Retrieval After Suspension
If your website has been deactivated due to non-payment:
You have 30 days to request your content and database.
Files will be provided as ZIP downloads via Dropbox or OneDrive.
Downloads will remain available for 15 additional days.
After that, the files are deleted and cannot be recovered.

To keep our pricing fair and our service quality high, we pre-pay for many of the resources tied to your account. Timely payments allow us to keep costs lower and operations smooth for everyone.
Keeping a valid card on file and providing a 30-day cancellation notice ensures everything stays simple and seamless.
Any time our team needs to manually follow up on overdue accounts, restore services, or handle suspensions and cancellations, it incurs additional operational costs.
Our policies help us keep the workflow efficient, predictable, and fair across all accounts.
BASIC HOSTING CUSTOMERS
If you are enrolled in our Basic Hosting Plan, please keep in mind that all WordPress updates, security monitoring, malware protection, and virus removal are your responsibility. By choosing Basic Hosting, you are acknowledging that you will manage these maintenance tasks on your own.
You can still request support or updates through the Helpdesk at any time.
These requests are billed at $25 per hour.
If your website becomes hacked, infected with malware, or experiences downtime due to security issues, we can restore it from a backup taken within the previous 30 days.
After that timeframe, the content is no longer recoverable.
