Take a moment to pause. Hold your center. Honor your light. The quiet steadiness of mid-winter. Gathering strength for what is to come. Feel the crisp air. Notice your breath. Ground beneath you. Sky above. Held between. We are halfway to spring. New life is coming.

The world has had so much unrest with recent events. Today many of us were covered in a blanket of snow. It gave a nervous system reset to me as I watched the snow falling. ❄️❄️❄️ It’s a really complex world out there. There is a lot of grief and lament that becomes a collective trauma we hold in our nervous systems as some react, some shut down, and sometimes we are in sheer disbelief and utter anguish. Look for moments of stillness. Use your voice where you can. Reflect on the goodness around you. Consider how you can reach the suffering if you have it in your capacity to do so today. One of the lessons nature gave me today, along with the day of pause, was that really little things really do add up. At times the snowflakes were so tiny you could hardly see them. Their persistence continued. The impact was palpable. We get to be here today. We can join with all the others walking this path and see that we aren’t alone. See all that snow??? We are one small piece of a greater whole. And it makes a huge difference. We are so glad you are here.

We rush into busyness and we barely notice the moment we are in or the one we just had that we want to savor before we are onto the next thing. My grandma used to say we all have 24 hours…even the president, and we all know who he is….and she would chuckle but we were pretty sure she really couldn’t remember. No one gets more time today but we can invest it well. That could mean lots of rest, or moments of connection, or a dose of nature or some movement, a stretch….what do you most need today? What might you savor and enjoy just a little longer? Linger there. Life might be short but we can take it all in and live it to the full. You are loved and you are allowed to take up space and take the time you need. 🍁🍂❄️ 💕

Notice the color, the subtle, the shifts and the changes. Especially when life feels heavy, uncertain or difficult. Look for the beauty. Find even just a breath of stillness, solitude and silence where you can truly receive time as a gift. 🍁🍂

Meditative moment to pause and breathe. Take out a journal or sit quietly and reflect. Name a sample of ordinary things you are grateful for today. These don’t have to be big or impressive— they can be as small as a cup of tea, a favorite mug, laughter with a friend, or a quiet moment after a busy day. As you list them, pause and whisper, “This, too, is a gift.”
