The 2017 International Game Developers Association Satisfaction Survey states only one percent of professionals within the industry identify as Black. While Black developers have been in the industry since the beginning of video games, there is an apparent lack of representation. We've compiled a small list of Black video game developers and gamers to check out and support. ⠀

In Columbus, is a local video game company co-founded by Kwesi Christian () and Nick Monnin-Allen (). Their team is currently developing a Black and African inspired RPG, Zakumba: Episode Astraia, following the thrilling adventures of a young Black female mechnical genius named Astraia. ⠀
