Backed by Live Nation, *Gracie’s Corner Live: Gracie’s Global Adventure* kicks off August 9 in Atlanta with stops in Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Detroit, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and more.

Created in 2020 by Dr. Javoris Hollingsworth, Dr. Arlene Gordon-Hollingsworth, and their daughter Graceyn, the show was born out of a desire to see more Black children in educational media. Now beloved by millions, it's bringing its signature songs, characters, and joy to families live and in person.

For the 10th anniversary of the Mississippi Book Festival in 2024, Hattiesburg native John Caleb Grenn, a physician, artist, and well-known “bookstagrammer,” was selected to create the official festival artwork.

His piece, titled “No Going Home,” drew from the whimsical world of children’s book illustrations, inviting us to reflect on the beginnings of our reading journeys. Packed with over 50 literary Easter eggs referencing past Book Festival authors and their works, the painting was both a visual tribute and a love letter to the Mississippi literary community.

Liberation’s Publishing was started by an indie author just like you. I’m an author first and foremost. Let me tell you about the first book I had subsidy published. It was very expensive and cost in the thousands. I paid for more than I received. Though I was happy to hold my first book in my hand, it was not what I expected. My book cost 24.99, and when I needed to order copies to sell they cost me $21; I was discouraged. I thought, “How can I make a profit from my book. How do I ask a parent to pay 24.99 for an 8.5 x 8.5 paperback children's book?”

I desired to create a publishing company designed with the Indie Author in mind. It’s a big decision to offer your work to the world. You deserve a publisher that has been where you are. We teach you as you go. We want you to feel confident in your decisions. We work one on one with you to perfect your work, and we do it all within reasonable pricing.
