I am writing this not to create more noise, but to finally speak the truth about what happened. The story being spread about my brother is painful, unfair, and very far from reality and as someone who was inside that car with him, I cannot stay silent.

My brother is not the person some people are trying to paint him to be.
He is a young man who was raised with discipline, respect, and strong values. He attended the Sierra Leone Grammar School, and today he is a final-year student at IPAM University, working hard to build a future for himself.
He has never used drugs, and he has never lived a reckless life.

The incident that happened around 4:30am was a pure accident caused by brake failure. We were in the car. We know what happened.
Accidents can happen to anyone. No one gets into a vehicle expecting something to go wrong.

But what hurt us the most was not the accident it was the inhumane way we were treated afterwards.

My brother and I were manhandled, insulted, and degraded by Star Zee’s bodyguard.
We were called horrible names, including being labelled as “harlots,” simply because we were at the scene of an accident.
My brother was physically beaten, even though he was confused, scared, and already shaken by what had just happened.

And instead of seeking the truth or showing the slightest compassion, Star Zee went to the media and falsely accused my brother of being under the influence of drugs.
That statement was not only untrue, but extremely damaging especially coming from someone with influence and a large platform.

Some Sierra Leoneans are now commenting negatively without knowing the facts.
But let me ask:

Is this patriotic?

Is destroying the character of an innocent young man something we should celebrate?

Is it humane?

Would you treat your own brother or sister this way if they got into an accident because the brakes failed?

And let’s be honest:
If Star Zee had a brake failure an accidentally hit someone, would she be beaten, insulted?

*E don fail back*

Tears Flow as Lawrence Leema Falls Prey to Fake Exam Leak: A high-ranking member of the ruling SLPP party and former Deputy of internal affairs of Sierra Leone, Lawrence Leema, who has a tarnished record, was left reeling after being handed a fake exam leak. The incident sparked a dramatic scene in the examination hall earlier last week when Lawrence Leema broke down in tears upon realizing the leakage he believed he had purchased was not genuine. Lawrence Leema entered the room with great confidence, expecting to find the exact “paper one” he believed he had already secured before the national exams began. However, moments after receiving the official exam, he discovered that the alleged leaked paper was completely different from the real one. Overcome with shock and disappointment, Lawrence Leema began to cry uncontrollably, drawing the attention of both fellow candidates and invigilators. Authorities have not issued an official statement yet, but last week's incident highlights ongoing concerns surrounding exam fraud and the spread of fake papers. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!

A Sierra Leonean Migrant 'used by woman as s*x slave' is granted asylum

A man from Sierra Leone has been granted asylum after he claimed a Nigerian woman in the UK forced him to have s*x with her and her friends.

The asylum seeker told a tribunal that he was taken in by a homeowner and forced against his will to satisfy her s*xually as well as some of her friends.

According to the unnamed man, the woman also required him to clean her house in exchange for board. A tribunal was told that the man was thrown out of after he refused to continue complying.

In his asylum application, the Sierra Leonean argued that he had political ties in his home country that meant there was a risk of re-trafficking if returned to Africa. His initial asylum claim was successful but Home Office officials appealed against the decision.

But a specialist judge has described the Whitehall appeal as a "shambles" as the case was dismissed and the migrant allowed to remain in the UK.

The tribunal had heard that the man claimed asylum in 2021 on the grounds of his political opinions. He claimed to have been a member of the All People's Congress, the main opposition to Julius Bio, Sierra Leone's president and his Sierra Leone People's Party.

He went on to tell the tribunal that he had participated in political conferences and made financial contributions to the opposition party. And he said that he had once attended a by-election where he was attacked by "thugs".

The tribunal was told that when the man fled to the UK, he was met on arrival and taken to the house of a woman who was referred to only as "DS". The woman was said to have taken his passport and then forced him to work at her house daily between 5am and 10pm.

In its report, the tribunal noted that despite promises of payment, after several months the man left the house "with no money or food and then slept rough until he was taken in by a Nigerian woman". That woman also required the migrant to clean her home as well as forcing him to have s*x with her and her friends. According to the ruling, the man said "when he refused, he was sometimes thrown out of the house".

It emerged at the hearing that after wandering the streets, the migrant met someone who helped him submit a claim for asylum. The judge, David Clarke, said that the Home Office had not provided proof that there was no risk of the man being re-trafficked and that the case put forward by officials was "in shambles".
