A deer came to our clinic door – but what we found around its leg made us call the police 🦌🚨 Stray animals aren’t unusual for us. We regularly see injured dogs, lost cats, and the occasional raccoon someone insists is “just being friendly.” But a deer? That was a first. And not just any deer—this one was calm. Silent. It approached the entrance like it had an appointment. When I opened the door, I expected it to bolt. But it didn’t. It stepped inside slowly, deliberately—as if it knew me. It was young, probably not more than a year old. Its coat was speckled, and its demeanor oddly serene. No visible injuries. Just... an unsettling calm. Too calm. And its eyes. There was something about the way it looked at me—like it was trying to communicate something I couldn’t quite grasp. A quiet sorrow, maybe. Or a sense of urgency. As if it was searching for someone.
