Next year, Melica Niccole is releasing The New Face of Disabilities Part 2: A Psychosocial Perspective. This book was 10 years in the making. She released part 1 of the series in 2015, which focused on individuals with developmental disabilities. As she released this book, she told herself that there had to be a part 2. Waiting 10 years allowed her to gain further experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses. She was able to assist individuals with practicing mindfulness, owing their feelings, and helping them to process them in a non-judgmental way.

Her positions have included working in Administration, Vocational Rehabilitation, Supported Education, Workforce Development, Human Resources, and tutoring services.
