A dinosaur that roamed modern-day Morocco more than 165 million years ago had a neck covered in three-foot long spikes, a weapon on its tail and bony body armor, according to researchers who unearthed the curious beast's remains.

In a new paper, researchers describe a bizarre dinosaur with thorny spines along its neck and back that made its home in Africa more than 165 million years ago.

This season, the league's ever-expanding quest to win fans and screens worldwide will include a record-setting seven international games, including new host cities Dublin and Berlin, and games broadcast exclusively on four different streaming platforms — including the returns of Prime Video's Black Friday game and Netflix's Christmas doubleheader — alongside the usual weekly TV lineups on Fox, CBS, NBC, and ESPN.

Which second-year quarterbacks will take a leap forward? Does the Micah Parsons trade make Green Bay a contender? And will Buffalo or Baltimore finally keep the Kansas City Chiefs from the Super Bowl?

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on the sidelines of festivities commemorating the end of World War II, state media reported Thursday. Kim attended a Chinese military parade in Beijing a day earlier, alongside other foreign leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin. Kim is making a rare trip outside North Korea.

Experts say Kim likely hopes to restore ties with China, North Korea's biggest trading partner and aid provider, as there have been questions about the bilateral relationship.

Not a day goes by that we don’t hear about artificial intelligence, commonly referred to as AI. It’s expected to infiltrate, and in some cases take over, many aspects of our lives.

Ohio State University Professor Angus Fletcher and researchers at OSU’s Project Narrative are finding new ways to use our brains called Primal Intelligence. It respects intuition as legitimate intelligence, and it’s a strategy they say AI will never defeat.

As children head back to school, we're looking at why so many students are no-shows during the school year, from Columbus City Schools, where the absenteeism rate is over 50%, to the rest of the state, where almost a quarter of students miss 10 days or more. Those figures actually reflect slight improvements over the last couple of years.

We're talking about strategies and solutions for tackling the underlying issues that lead to students missing school.

A White House fact sheet explains that under the executive order, the name "Department of War" will serve as a "secondary title" for the Department of Defense. According to the fact sheet, the order will also authorize Defense Department officials to substitute the word "war" into their titles. For example, the Secretary of Defense could use the title Secretary of War.

The change will return the department to a name that it carried for much of its history, until it became the Department of Defense in the wake of World War II.

What if immigration agents come while the kids are in class, or while she's picking them up? Can immigration agents come into the school? Can they ask the children about their parent's legal status?

As the new school year begins, mixed immigration status families face heightened fears about ICE enforcement near schools, creating anxiety that extends far beyond the classroom.

President Trump put an abrupt end to de minimis on worldwide shipments to the U.S., exposing all imports to tariffs based on their country of origin, with narrow exceptions for things like gifts and letters. The change came after discount retailers such as Temu and Shein enjoyed explosive growth by using de minimis to ship cheap goods directly to Americans.

For years, the U.S. was essentially "an extension of our domestic market," says an Etsy seller in Canada. But now the rules and costs are far more imposing.

In the years before the Civil War, the Hubbard House and the property surrounding it offered more than fine living quarters — it sheltered people escaping slavery. William and Katharine Hubbard housed hundreds of freedom seekers, helping them hide until they could catch a cargo ship to cross Lake Erie.

The Hubbard House in northeast Ohio’s Ashtabula County was an important stop on the Underground Railroad. After surviving a demolition threat, it has a unique strategy to ensure its future.

A rigorous new study finds that a single dose of L*D can ease anxiety and depression for months. The study involved 198 adults with generalized anxiety disorder, or GAD, a disabling form of anxiety that affects about 1 in 10 people over the course of a year.

People with generalized anxiety disorder improved significantly after they got a single dose of L*D powerful enough to induce a psychedelic trip.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is ending gender-affirming care for all of its trans patients including those who are over 18 or were "grandfathered in" under a state law that prohibits gender-affirming care for minors. The hospital gave a statement to WOSU Thursday evening that it's currently in compliance with state and federal regulations, but it wants to "proactively plan" for quick changes in regulations.

The hospital will stop prescribing gender-affirming medicines to patients, including those who are over 18 and minors who were receiving care, before a statewide ban on gender-affirming care for minors went into effect.

The U.S. announced Thursday that it will make an investment in the new HIV prevention drug called lenacapavir that's been hailed as a "breakthrough" and a "game changer" by the medical community.

Lenacapavir has the potential to end the HIV epidemic, researchers say. The Trump administration says backing this kind of effort will be a model for how it does global health work in the future.
