Just spent a few days in West Texas 🌌 One night, we set out from Grapevine Hills Campsite 4 for a hike to Balanced Rock to catch the planets aligning—and it was pure magic. The darkness was intense, though. Even with a red headlamp, I got spooked enough to convince Veronica we needed the white light on!

I’ve hiked to Balanced Rock many times before, but always under a full moon. Experiencing it in total darkness was completely different—eerie, a little scary, but unforgettable. ✨
