I need to say this for my own healing.
Someone who caused me serious emotional harm reappeared in my life after a long time. While there were apologies, an apology does not undo years of damage, and it does not give someone access to me again.
Abuse doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like manipulation, harassment, lies, boundary-crossing, and slowly breaking someone down until they’re numb. I lived through that. It affected my mental health, my peace, and my sense of safety.
Healing means distance.
Boundaries mean no continued contact.
And respect means honoring those boundaries without pushing, messaging, or inserting yourself back into my life.
I am in a happy, healthy relationship now. My life is calmer. I feel safe again. I will not allow anyone to disrupt that.
This post isn’t about revenge or attention.
It’s about protecting myself and standing in my truth.
