🚨 Tragic School Shooting in Minneapolis 🚨
Authorities have confirmed that two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed after a gunman opened fire during morning Mass at Annunciation Catholic School on the south side of Minneapolis today.
According to Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara, 17 others were injured, including 14 children. Several remain in critical condition, with four undergoing emergency surgery.
The gunman, described as a man in his early 20s, approached the side of the church just before 8:30 a.m. and began firing a rifle through the windows toward children seated in the pews. He was also armed with a shotgun and a pistol. Police say he later died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the parking lot.

• Rumors of an explosive are false — police confirmed only a smoke-type device was found
• No active threat remains at this time
First responders rushed into the church to rescue children and provide life-saving aid. Hennepin Healthcare is treating multiple pediatric patients, ranging in age from 6 to 14.
Chief O’Hara called the act an “incomprehensible act of cowardice.” Authorities are still investigating a motive.
