Tarotunes

Tarotunes Join Heather and Stan every Thursday at 9pm Eastern for this exploration of music through the tarot, and tarot through music. All are welcome!

Tune in to Musical Conversations (dot org) to listen! On the first Tuesday of January in 2017, best friend and partner in crime,
Stan Cocheo invited Heather Gaffney-Darnell to come onto his show, Musical Conversations. She used the opportunity to do a reading for the coming year, throwing a tarot card or two for each month. For each card Heather chose and interpreted, Stan said, "wait, I think I

have a song for that!"
Three hours later, they had a tarot inspired play list, and left with the question, "what just happened?" It was this experience that gave birth to Tarotunes! It started as a monthly show, and life happened, forcing a long hiatus. In 2021, they decided to bring the show back, this time on a (mostly) weekly basis to include different conversations around the cards, and to invite other people in the extended community to join them. Invited guests range from people with a general interest in tarot and music, to nationally known authors and tarot readers. This is an opportunity to join in the magic, ask questions, and even have a reading over the air.

We are back again. Life has thrown some curve balls, so we appreciate your patience!

Tomorrow, September 18th, we will explore the Equinox through the cards, meditation, and music! Micah and Steven AKA falllift will be with us again to lay down some music during our meditation. We will take a journey word and sound exploring the ideas of reaping what is sown, and how we choose to tend our gardens. We'll also draw cards to look at what these elements look like, expressing the ideas separating the grain from the chaff.
We invite you to tune in, listen and enjoy!

About falllift:
Born out of weekly writing sessions during the pandemic, falllift is the collaborative project of Micah Cottingham and William Steven Hall. What began as a creative outlet soon evolved into a
full-fledged band grounded in trust, balance, and a shared commitment to growth. Since their debut E.P. Sunday Sessions in 2022, falllift has released several singles, completed two national
tours, and earned multiple sync placements. Their music blends introspective storytelling with powerful sonic landscapes, addressing themes from personal growth to social justice. Their
upcoming single, “All Salt”—featuring award-winning poet Bluz—is slated for summer 2025, with a full-length album in the works. When not making music, falllift is rooted in community,
nature, and their beloved dog, Lola.

Happy Pride! This month is filled with people standing up for their beliefs with peaceful protest, and are asserting their constitutional rights. This show is a bit of a script flip. Instead of doing a reading we will choose songs and cards to build and focus energy toward those standing, marching, dancing, and drumming for what is right.

Join us by listening, sending your energy, recommending songs, and being a part of the magic!
