ISO opinions/advice/thoughts.... Summer of 2021, we had our pool installed and blindly took the word/advice of the owner as we had no idea about pools and trusted him. Literal moments after the ink was dry on the check, owner of pool store sells the company and it's under new ownership. Fast forward to Summer 2022 and the pool is leaking, the waterfall is absolute junk and basically, we find out from more than one source (one of which still works at the pool store we had install this) that our pool was installed incorrectly and should never been done this way. New pool store owner (it's still the same name) comes out and agrees (sort of reluctantly, but agreese nonetheless) that they will fix the waterfall. We are grateful and patient and waited for this to be completed, always on the backburner as they don't have the man power to handle all of their customers etc... Here we are in summer of 2024, we are told we need to open our pool the first week of April so they can do the repair before they get busy. Week after week, they are non responsive, they placate, they basically keep putting us off. Long story longer- they "fix" it. When I email (for the second time, she didn't answer the first email) that I am upset, disappointed and exhausted of this being at the bottom of her list, she basically emails me back to tell me "find another pool company". Her argument is that she has tried to please me and it's not working. And she's not wrong, but the reason it's not working is because of what this thing looks like and how this has been handled. So now, we are stuck with this heinous job of a "fix" AND a $5000 pool cover that will not be able to be put on because of this was "fixed". What do I do? Do I just try to get it fixed on my own and suck it up? Do I get an attorney? My biggest concern is going forward because I know that it was installed incorrectly, what major issues will be forthcoming. Before and after pics attached. I appreciate any of you who read this whole thing.
