Jack was about to fly home from New York to London when he met Violet at the gate and became her friend. Violet, an 88-year-old former nurse, was flying home after visiting her daughter, and she had never been able to afford an expensive first-class ticket. It was a dream of hers to do that someday. When it was time to board, Jack walked with Violet onto the plane, insisted that she take his first-class seat, and then went to the very back of the plane next to the restrooms, and sat in hers.

Stewardess Leah Amy found out about the switch and reported the story (these photos are hers), saying, "Jack never said a word or asked for anything. Of all the people I've met on hundreds of flights, including soccer players, supermodels, and movie stars, these two have been my favorite passengers."

FIREFIGHTERS’ LIVES MATTER!

My brother is my hero. He’s in terrible pain with an infection in his stomach. We are waiting for test results to see if his pancreatic cancer has now gone into his stomach. It breaks my heart that he was treated so poorly when the ambulance brought him into the ER last night and forced to lay on the ground for 15 hours before finally giving him a bed. Not how I would treat a retired firefighter/paramedic with 30 years experience of saving lives in his community. His spirit is now broken and my heart aches for him and his wife. Please pray for him. Thank you

PLEASE LET’S PRAY FOR THIS INNOCENT BABY 🙏🏻😢🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am at a loss for words. I woke up this morning fully expecting that today would be another busy, but completely normal day. 6 month old baby Charlotte had an appointment with an ophthalmologist this morning to determine what the cause of her crossed eyes is, an appointment that we scheduled two months ago. I got to the appointment with all three of my daughters in tow. After the doctor analyzed her eyes she sent us up to Primary Children’s hospital in Salt Lake City to get an ultrasound on her eyes because she saw some irregularities that she wanted to have checked out. I drove the half hour to get there, and Stuart left work early to meet me at the hospital and walked in right as the ultrasound was underway. I held baby Charlotte to me while turned away from the screen to allow the doctor to get the image. Stuart looked at the screen and said “whoa, that’s big”. And my heart dropped. They discovered a cancerous tumor behind her left eye and partially into her right eye called Retinoblastoma that is causing her not to be able to straighten her eyes out. I didn’t know what to think. A million questions and emotions poured through me as I tried to get a mental handle on the situation. I’m still trying. I’m still in shock. I still don’t know what to do or what to think. They discussed a need for an MRI to confirm the diagnosis and determine the full scope of the cancer and if it has spread to other parts of her little body. They discussed treatment options which include chemotherapy and surgery.
They explained to us that the team of experts for this particular condition is located in Phoenix and we will need to get there as quickly as possible to begin treatment. I still don’t feel like I have a grasp on the situation, and I don’t know what the short term and long term looks like for Charlotte, Stuart, my family or for myself. But I do know that the most important favor that I can ask from any of you is to send a sincere prayer to our Father in Heaven.

A WOMAN was flying from Melbourne to Brisbane ...
Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sydney.
The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes..
Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind.
A man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her Seeing Eye Dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight.
He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said, 'Kathy, we are in Sydney for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?'
The blind lady replied, 'No thanks, but maybe Max would Like to stretch his legs.'
Picture this:
All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Seeing Eye dog!
The pilot was even wearing sunglasses.
People scattered.
They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!
True story...

The real definition of the love between a mother and son. When I saw this man pick his mom up in his arms, my heart melted nd I was crying like a baby... He came in this world with her holding him like that, and now it’s his turn to baby his mom. She felt safe. I don't know your name sir, but you are a wonderful MAN ❤

WHAT A GUY!!

For those of you who don’t know, this is Rick Moranis. He is best known for his performances in classic films such as Spaceballs, Ghostbusters, and the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids franchise. He is also known as the actor who disappeared from Hollywood over 20 years ago after his last appearance in 1997. Why? After losing his wife to breast cancer, he gave up his acting career so he could take care of his children and spend all the time that he could with them. He didn’t want to be “The dad that worked all the time.”

"This is my friend's 17 year old nephew, Tanner. Yesterday he was enjoying a day at Scissortail Park with his mother and younger siblings when he noticed a kid struggling in the pond. Tanner's mom said he did a quick double take then without a word he was running toward the water. She had no idea what was happening but Tanner knew someone needed him. His instincts took over and this guy saved a drowning 2 year old!!!
He suffered a head injury in the process. Police, fire and medics responded and the child's mother cried uncontrollably with gratitude. Tanner is humble, compassionate and really does not understand how much heartbreak his actions have saved a family.

"The hardest thing about being a single dad, is going to the restaurant with my beautiful daughter, and she tells me she wants to go to the bathroom and I go with her to the bathroom and people stare at me strangely, she is my daughter and I have to do it because I will always take care of her, I will not send her alone. How hard it is to leave her every time I go to work far away and she stays crying screaming at me, she makes video calls and tells me where I am to go with her. I love my daughter and everything I do I do so that she has a good future and does not lack what I lacked at her age. I love this little girl, may God bless her a thousand years and lives more."

I’M TEARING UP. GOD BLESS THIS GUY!

I don’t know much about this sweet man, but I know he has an incredible heart ❤️❤️
He was driving in Fulton County, GA when he saw this puppy get hit by a car.
He is the only one who stopped, as other cars just raced by.
He dodged traffic to scoop the puppy up and keep him safe.
He tried to take him to an animal hospital, but was turned away because this pup was a stray.
That did not stop him from trying to save the dog’s life.
This man then rushed the dog to Fulton’s LifeLine Animal Project shelter and waited outside until he could get help.
The shelter brought in Second Chance Rescue NYC Dogs who agreed to sponsor the pup and get him the intense medical care he needs.
This puppy has a long way to go now - but he still has a chance - and it’s all because this man cared ❤️❤️❤️

THE MEANING OF REAL WEALTH

My parents were older when they had me and my sister. In the 1970s many people had children in their 20s. My dad was 42. By that time he was a partner in a major accounting firm. He had a big office, everyone called him Mr Wilson and he seemed to be a big deal in his workplace. My father is a modest man and made no conspicuous displays of wealth. But I realised when I was 11 or 12 that none of my school friends lived in my neighbourhood, few people had two new cars, very few owned a second house or skied in the winter and no-one else travelled overseas. When I was a teenager, I discovered he owned quite a lot of commercial property too, which paid a good amount of rent.
My father grew up in a working class family in the Great Depression. His father died during WW2. He left school early to support his family and eventually studied part-time at university. He’s pretty unassuming. People always thought he was a farmer or, at least, that he worked outdoors. In fact, he loves the outdoors and spent most of his leisure time outside. But he worked in an office.
I realised as an adult that my dad had a highly successful career and used the money he earned for the benefit and enjoyment of his family. We had things and experiences that most of our friends didn’t. But, really, his greatest success was in supporting and encouraging my sister and me. He always wanted us to do our best and didn’t much mind what our results were so long as we tried hard. I think this had an important effect on me. I have built a successful career too, equivalent to his but in an entirely different field. He never pressured me and I didn’t feel any sense of competition. But he encouraged and supported me and expressed his pride in my sister and me. He took us skiing and hiking, helped with homework, took us to the museum and aquarium at the weekend and always watched our sports.
My father is a successful man. He had a successful career but, more importantly, he’s an excellent father. I’m lucky to still have him at age 95.

INSPIRING STORY!!!
Hi. I'm Sharon, a dull 66 yr old who lives a very dull life teaching 11 year olds. I've been doing that for 18 years. I live a very dull life with my 3rd husband of 10 years. My second husband found me so dull, he was forced to date (a lot) while we were married. I was so dull then, I made myself go back to school and get a teaching degree.My first husband passed away in 1988 (perhaps I was too exciting then?) (Sorry, a little dark humor). I work, I come home, read many, many books (240 last year) and we spend a fair amount of time taking dull road trips. I was born in South Africa, a not too dull country and emigrated to the US in 94. My newish husband is quite dull too, he's a mountain man reenactor, so as you can see we live pretty dull lives. I love this group and love reading about all your dull lives.

When God created woman, he was working late on the 6th day.
An angel came by and asked, “Why spend so much time on her?"
The Lord answered, “Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her?
She must function in all kinds of situations.
She must be able to embrace several kids at the same time.
Have a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken heart.
She must do all this with only two hands.
She cures herself when sick and can work 18 hours a day.”
The angel was impressed, "Just two hands...impossible!
And this is the standard model?"
The angel came closer and touched the woman.
“But you have made her so soft, Lord."
"She is soft", said the Lord,
"But I have made her strong. You can't imagine what she can endure and overcome."
"Can she think?" The angel asked.
The Lord answered, "Not only can she think, she can reason and negotiate."
The angel touched her cheeks.
"Lord, it seems this creation is leaking! You have put too many burdens on her."
"She is not leaking...it is a tear" the Lord corrected the angel.
"What's it for?" Asked the angel.
The Lord said, “Tears are her way of expressing her grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride."
This made a big impression on the angel,
"Lord, you are a genius. You thought of everything. A woman is indeed marvelous!"
Lord said, “Indeed she is.
She has strength that amazes a man.
She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.
She holds happiness, love and opinions.
She smiles when she feels like screaming.
She sings when she feels like crying.
Cries when happy and laughs when afraid.
She fights for what she believes in.
Her love is unconditional.
Her heart is broken when a next-of-kin or a friend dies but she finds strength to get on with life."
The angel asked: "So she is a perfect being?"
The Lord replied, "No. She has just one drawback...she often forgets what she is worth.”

SERIOUSLY?!

Prior to 1920, it was possible to send children through the US Postal service. However, there were certain conditions that needed to be met. Firstly, the children had to weigh less than 50 pounds, and stamps were attached to their clothing as a form of payment. Surprisingly, it was often more cost-effective for individuals to send their children via mail rather than opting for train transportation. Interestingly, during the journey, the children would travel on a train, specifically in the mail car, where they were supervised and provided with nourishment by mail clerks. One remarkable example of this unconventional practice involved a distance of over 700 miles, from Florida to Virginia, covered with a mere 15 cents worth of stamps.

I can't take him to the beach for a walk because it annoys you and disturbs the vacation... I have no right to rent a house if I have a dog, nor can I take him on public transportation.
However, I can locate you amidst rubble after an earthquake, in the wilderness when you're lost in the mountains without a map or GPS, under snow due to an unauthorized detour off the trail, in water despite warning flags at sea, risking your life!
And finally ...
He is just a dog, but he or she will find you. And it will save you!!!
