Woodlands Christian’s 8th Grade Leadership Showcase

The Woodlands Christian Academy recently presented The Harvest 2026, a signature event for eighth-grade students built around the theme “Owning the Moment for His Glory.” The
event reflected the mission of the school’s Leadership Academy, where students were trained to lead through
professional excellence, Biblical truth, discernment, and faith-filled character in a world increasingly shaped by
automation and algorithms.
The Harvest serves as the culmination of four years of intentional skill development in middle school. Through a series
of structured rotations, students demonstrate their ability to communicate clearly, think critically, listen well, and lead
with confidence and humility.
The Great Exchange, students lead a text-based discussion without teacher direction, drawing from
Scripture, Steve Jobs’s 2005 Stanford commencement address, and C.S. Lewis’s Mere Christianity. The session
highlights reading comprehension, critical thinking, active listening, and respectful dialogue.
In Stand and Deliver, students present a polished 30- to 60-second introduction, demonstrating confidence, clarity,
eye contact, pacing, and professional presence. Mix and Mingle places students in a networking scenario where they
must ask thoughtful questions, gather meaningful information, and exercise discernment in conversation.
In The Write Stuff, students respond to a realistic scenario through professional email writing, showing grammar,
clarity, respect, and problem-solving. The final rotation, Hot Seat Hustle, challenges students in a high-energy
interview setting where they must articulate ideas, maintain poise, and show readiness for servant leadership.
Together, these sessions reflect the broader purpose of Leadership Academy: not simply to teach skill, but to form
students who can recognize the moments God gives them and respond with wisdom, courage, and faith. The event
underscores the Academy’s belief that while technology can increase access to information and efficiency, it cannot
replace spiritual formation, discernment, or Christ-centered leadership.
The Woodlands Christian Academy also extends sincere gratitude to the 60 parent volunteers whose time,
preparation, and investment helped make The Harvest possible. The school further recognizes its faculty and staff for
faithfully cultivating these skills over the past four years and for helping shape not only what students can do, but who
they are becoming.

The Woodlands Christian Academy Raises Over $1.2 Million for Endowment at the 2026 Auction and Gala

Publishers personal comment, "This event was amazing! There were lots of cowboy hats, terrific food, gambling tables, amazing auctions and so much more. It was a blast. One very cute yellow lab puppy with a great bloodline sold for $19,000. That is a "hot dog." If you missed it this year make sure you get in there next year. Community leaders from The Woodlands and Conroe area came out in force to support TWCA. It was an impressive show of support. Conroe City Lifestyle and myself were proud to be a part of it. More details follow below."

The Woodlands Christian Academy celebrated a monumental
success this past weekend, grossing over $1.2 million in profit during its 2026 Auction and Gala. Held on
Saturday, April 11, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, the highly anticipated event welcomed more
than 460 attendees to support the school's growing financial foundation.
The evening's remarkable achievements were made possible by dedicated event leadership and
generous community partners. Elizabeth and Randall Bolt served as the event Chairs, supported by Vice
Chairs Linsey and Ryan Bibler, who will take the helm for next year's gathering. Critical backing came
from The George Family, serving as the Revelry at the Ranch Grand Patron Presenting Sponsor, alongside
Team Reed Enterprises, Inc., who contributed as the Cowhide and Crystal Founders Sponsors.
Guests enjoyed a vibrant, Texas-sized celebration packed with unique entertainment and interactive
experiences. Attendees tested their luck at the casino, took a ride on the mechanical bull, and cheered
during the lively armadillo racing. Throughout the evening, the Diamond West Band provided an
energetic musical backdrop that kept the crowd engaged and celebrating well into the night.
“I give thanks to God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon Woodlands Christian, not just monetarily,
but through the generous hearts and hands of every person who took part in this year’s gala. We are
humbled by your support,

” shared Head of School, Julie Ambler.

A major highlight of the night was the highly competitive Bid Board and Live Auction, which featured
both in-person and virtual participation options. This hybrid bidding format allowed a wider audience of
supporters to contribute to the cause from anywhere. All funds raised will go directly toward The
Woodlands Christian Academy's endowment, securing vital resources and long-term sustainability for
future generations of students.

From TWCA to the White Sox: Caedmon Parker’s Climb to ‘The Show’

As the 2026 baseball season begins, Woodlands Christian Academy (TWCA) alumnus Caedmon Parker, class of 2021, is working his way toward "the show." Now part of the Chicago White Sox organization, Parker has been assigned to the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers in North Carolina.

Parker’s journey hasn't been typical. Entering high school at 5’5”, he initially dreamed of playing basketball. A dramatic growth spurt to over 6’3” shifted his focus to the pitcher's mound. Despite projections to go pro out of high school, Parker chose to develop at TCU, noting he wasn't mentally mature enough for the professional lifestyle at 17. After his junior year, he was drafted by the Brewers but waited another year, feeling God called him back to TCU.

That extra season paid off when the White Sox drafted him in July 2025. Parker credits his growth to his time at TWCA, where close-knit relationships and a strong Christian foundation prepared him for professional challenges.

His advice to current student-athletes? “Be where your feet are. What you do today impacts tomorrow.” For Parker, the work has just begun.
