🌿 The Magnolia That Became More Than a Flower
It started as a simple piece of wood.
Then came the first cut. The first carved line. The careful shaping of each petal—one at a time. Slowly, something that had been flat and ordinary began to take on depth, movement, and life.
That’s what I love about creating pieces like this.
This magnolia isn’t meant to look perfectly manufactured. The small variations, carved details, and marks left by the process are part of its story. They’re evidence that it was shaped by hand—not pulled from a box or made by the thousands.
And it isn’t finished yet.
There are still layers to add, details to refine, and color that will completely change its personality. But this stage may be one of my favorites, because you can still see where it began and imagine what it’s becoming.
