Advent Week 1, Vigilant Hope

Isaiah 2:1-5 NIV (Isaiah's Vision)
1 This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem: 2 In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. 3 Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. 4 He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. 5 Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord.

Good Morning folks. Today, teachers sign up for NFMC memebership for 2005. I have been a NFMC teacher for 15+ years. I have been a festival chair 10? of those 15. If you are a teacher that needs musical goals that your students will love this is the way to go. My Tejas FMC-Junior/Senior has 18 teachers presently. Contact me if you are interested. He says it well. This includes rescue folks too. You will get to go back for sure. Remember folks are all going the same way. Roads crowded, gas needed. Now, this moment, ASAP, move out of harms way. Friends and family as Americans we need each other.

Friends & colleagues in Tampa and surrounding communities, Hurricane Milton is unlike anything we've seen in recent history, based on how fast it rapidly intensified today, moving from a Category 1 to a Category 5 in under twelve hours. Some models suggest it could make landfall as a Category 3 or 4, while others predict a possible Category 5 hurricane with winds up to 160 mph and gusts reaching 200 mph.

At this moment, there is still a window to evacuate northward, if you can get out, you must get out! We’ve seen the devastation of Hurricane Helene. We’ve seen the loss of life, the destruction of property, and the pain it’s caused for families across this nation. But we must understand that Milton is a whole different beast. Stronger windfield, with more storm surge and rainfall than Helene ever brought, some coastline of nearly 25 inches of rain. This storm is unprecedented, and it requires to be taken seriously. You have two days (48 hours). This is your window. Please, use this time to evacuate and make sure you and your loved ones in the impacted areas are safe. We have seen what these storms can do, and we will not let that happen again without doing everything in our power to be forewarned. Prayers for safety and abundance of healing afterwards!
