Well, this was a really cool surprise! Though, I have no idea how or why it got sent to my old address that I haven’t lived at in two years, but it did wind up in my parents’ hands instead.

I digress! I wasn’t expecting a trophy from the Boomtown Film and Music Festival, but it was certainly welcomed!

I had been informed of my win about a month before the festival because of their plans to perform it LIVE, and while I wasn’t able to attend in person, I hear it went over very well with their audience. I haven’t had the chance to listen to the full performance, but I will soon.

Thanks so much to every festival that has accepted my nasty little grindhouse splatter comedy script, and especially thanks to the festivals who saw fit to give it awards!

This has been a wild ride, and it’s nearly over for the film festival side. I plan to pitch it VERY soon to some high powered producers, and have some ins with really cool genre film companies, so the sky is the limit!

NOW, LET’S MAKE THIS FU***NG MOVIE.

Oh s**t.

Over the weekend, ANaB was featured at FOUR different film festivals: RENEGADE FILM FESTIVAL (nominated but did not win), DAYS OF THE DEAD (still waiting to hear results), BOOMTOWN FILM AND MUSIC FESTIVAL (where it won AND was performed as a live reading!), and ATLANTA AFTER DARK FILM FESTIVAL where it won BEST HORROR COMEDY FEATURE SCREENPLAY!

This nasty little script just keeps rollin’ and I cannot WAIT until we can unleash it on the unsuspecting public…

Received this news yesterday, but I'm just now in a position to share the info. ANOTHER NIGHT AT BEAVER'S was selected for Days of the Dead Atlanta next weekend, and I received word that it's also a FINALIST in their competition!
I will be unable to attend in person, which is a bummer, but it's for a good reason, I promise. 😉

HEY HOUSTON and BEAUMONT GANG!!!!

My award-winning screenplay ANOTHER NIGHT AT BEAVER'S was chosen as the WINNER of Best Screenplay at this year's Boomtown Film & Music Festival, and as a result, they're having a LIVE READING of the screenplay at the festival at the end of February!!!!
I will unfortunately be unable to attend, but I'd still love it if some of my friends were able to attend it and be entertained by my insanity.

Holy s**t I’m walking on air, yall.

Just had the FIRST EVER table read for ANOTHER NIGHT AT BEAVER’S!!!

Part of winning the best screenplay award at Boomtown Film Festival is a live reading of the script by a group of actors. Tonight, since I’m unable to attend in person next month, I was able to attend a zoom rehearsal and lemme tell ya, as many of these as I’ve done, it’s always WILD hearing your words coming out of others’ mouths as they bring your characters to life.

In the case of these characters (award-winning characters, no less!), it’s surreal to hear the foul-mouthed, dirty, disgusting, and disgustingly FUNNY characters come to bloody life.

It’s also humbling when people are visibly moved when those characters meet their gore-soaked demises.

It ain’t all fun and games, holding off the apocalypse!!!

Let’s make a fu***ng movie.

Got the news earlier, that my screenplay ANOTHER NIGHT AT BEAVER'S is an OFFICIAL SELECTION at Days of the Dead Atlanta!!!

I will be unable to attend this festival, but that's not a bad thing, because BEAVER'S is actually an official selection at THREE film festivals the same weekend (and I'm waiting to hear back about a fourth!)!!!

This thing just keeps rolling right along, and it's truly humbling to see it being so well-received!!!

So...... after I spent ALL THAT TIME making that graphic yesterday...

Now, I guess I gotta change it. LOL

But, it's for a good reason!!!

This morning, I was informed that I'm nominated for TWO awards at Austin Revolution Film Festival!!

Not only is ANOTHER NIGHT AT BEAVER'S nominated for TEXAS FEATURE SCRIPT, but I'm also personally nominated for MALE SCREENWRITER OF THE YEAR!!!!

This is pretty damn awesome, if I may say so... Now, to switch up yesterday's graphic! :D

Got the news last night, but we weren't allowed to announce until this morning.

BUT...

ANOTHER NIGHT AT BEAVER'S has been accepted into yet another film festival!!! This is a big one. Austin Revolution Film Festival is one of the ones I was really hoping to get accepted into. It's where I first met Jason Tostevin years ago, so to get accepted into his festival Nightmares Film Festival in Ohio a couple of months ago, and to now get accepted into ARFF is just the cherry on top.

Let's keep this ball rolling!!!

Yesterday seemed like a really inappropriate day to share this, so I figured I’d wait until today, after we’ve all had a moment to catch our breath.

I’m happy to announce that my screenplay ANOTHER NIGHT AT BEAVER’S has advanced and is now a FINALIST at NYC Horror Film Festival!!

I also received some really awesome notes from a reader with Austin Film Festival yesterday, which couldn’t have come at a better time, considering I definitely needed the good news.

And I shared a different script with a trusted fellow writer friend who was over the moon about it, describing it as “Christopher Nolan makes a Friday the 13th movie”… not a compliment I’d ever think I’d hear, but pretty fu***ng awesome!! I’ll take it!!!
