South Haven MI… my wife wanted to go somewhere cold right after Christmas instead of flying south for the winter like we have done the last couple of years. Ok. I’m game. Why not. It’s only supposed to snow a few inches the first couple of days.

This was the first day of many. The wind was unreal. I couldn’t even roll the window down without getting my skin ripped off by sand flying through the air in the 40 plus mph winds.

After this day it snowed and snowed and snowed and kept snowing for 7 days until we left and about 17” of lake effect snow later.

I gotta hand it to the Michigan DOT though. They know how to clear some interstates. Thank you for your hard work and getting us home safe.

Can’t go without this. It’s so nice especially when you use collapsible bottles from Cnoc Outdoors … almost impossible to be a one man show and filter water into the bottle and hold the bottle. So now I just hang it and do something else. Amazing how such a small gadget can make such a huge difference in quality of life.

My adapter froze and split this past weekend. Was leaking water pretty badly so E6000 to the rescue! Ordered a couple extras today from Hilltop Packs Apex Giant because I’m spoiled to them and can’t be without. Lol.

Finally overcame my fear of a new machine and new materials and creating wearables and did it. Sat down at the serger and hammered out a new Aloha 90 hoodie for my wife

Kinda shocked that it all actually came together and fit! But it did and she loves it!

Wandering off the trail to find things, see things, experience things. You never know what you miss if you just have your head down trodding an plodding along, anxious for the end.

If all you think about is the end, being done…you will miss so many blessings along the way.

Resting, relaxing and taking in a good cigar with my brother from another mother. knows how to chill and I’m always ready to hit the trail with him! If only work didn’t get in the way!
