Today’s client had an older water heater manufactured in 1994. By all rights this water heater should be replaced. It is currently working, so I gave her the opportunity to make the decision to either replace it now or just replace the parts that needed to be changed out so that the water heater was not leaking anymore. She opted to do the immediate fix quickly and hold off on changing out the water heater so that she can emotionally prepare for that expense. Either way is fine with me as long as she is aware at the sediment buildup has reduced the capacity of the water heater by at least half. You could see from the pictures there Arepieces of sediment in a pile. This is what comes out of your water heater and one of the reasons why your water heater should be flushed once a year. Give us a call if you have not had your water heater serviced!

New hood replacement! Wow this was pretty difficult. The stainless vent shroud was well built and no way to remove without removing hood first. The tile was laid right up to the hood without any space between, great job installers! However, as you can see with the other photos, there is a box for the motor above that has to fit inside. Well, needless to say, the tile was in the way. I thought I was going to have to remove some of the edge tile. I got creative and got the hood out. Getting the new one to fit was a trick as well! All done! Looks great, works great!
