ICYMI: Chris Lambert will challenge incumbent Andre D. Acklin for his At-Large Position 1 seat on the Conway Board of Education. Stephen Fuller will vie to unseat current board president Terry Turner from the Mayflower Board of Education.

The filing period for the annual school board election ended this week leaving Conway and Mayflower school districts with the only contested races in Faulkner County. Chris Lambert will challenge incumbent Andre D.

Conway Public Schools, in an effort to keep the school year ending on May 29, will extend the school day by 72 minutes each weekday during a three-week period. The three-week period will begin April 6 and continue through April 24.
