Just when you thought 2015 was going to be a quiet election year: The non-partisan Special Election for State House District 92 has been called by the governor's office for Nov. 3. The candidate qualifying period will start Monday, Sept. 28, 9 a.m. and end Wednesday, Sept. 30, noon at Elections Division of the Office of Secretary of State, 802 West Tower, 2 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, SE, Atlanta, Georgia 30334. The qualifying fee is $400. The election is a non-partisan special election with no party primary. However, each candidate's party affiliation, if declared, will be listed on the ballot. A run-off election, if needed, will be held Tuesday, December 1. The election for State House District 92 will occur in portions of DeKalb and Rockdale counties to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Tonya Anderson. Anderson resigned to run in the Special Election for State Senate District 43. The District 43 Special Election will also be held Nov. 3 and a runoff would also be Dec. 1. http://www.rockdalenews.com/section/1/article/22738/
