The End Of Ladipo Kidnap Gang ✍️

*In the dark underbelly of Lagos, where spare parts markets hide deadly secrets and the night swallows screams, one name struck fear into the hearts of the rich and powerful for years — the Ladipo Kidnap Gang.*

These were not ordinary thieves. They were cold, organized predators who hunted human beings like animals. In 2024, under the leadership of Henry Asoona, they turned kidnapping into a brutal business. They specialized in high-profile targets — wealthy businessmen, company owners, and anyone whose family could pay millions of dollars. They did not just sn**ch people. They destroyed them.

*How the Gang Operated*

The Ladipo Kidnap Gang moved like ghosts. They studied their victims for weeks. They knew when the target left home, which route he took, where his children went to school, and even the names of his house helps. Once they chose a victim, there was almost no escape.

*Their methods were ruthless and deeply disturbing* .

They would strike suddenly, often in traffic or near estates. Masked men with guns would block the car, smash the windows, and drag the victim out like a sack of rice. Those who resisted were beaten mercilessly — broken teeth, fractured skulls, and deep cuts from machetes. Some victims were shot in the legs just to stop them from running.

*Once kidnapped, the real horror began.*

Victims were taken to hidden places — uncompleted buildings, forests outside Lagos, or safe houses in places like Ladipo and surrounding areas. They were tied up with ropes that cut into their flesh. Some were beaten daily to soften them and their families. The gang members would laugh while describing in detail how they would kill the victim if ransom was not paid fast. They sent videos of the victim bleeding, crying, or lying in his own waste.

Families received chilling phone calls. "If you involve the police, we will cut him piece by piece and send his fingers to you." Many families sold lands, borrowed huge money, and begged friends just to save their loved one. Some paid millions of dollars, only for their relative to be returned half-dead — traumatized, broken, and never the same again.

The gang showed no mercy. There were stories of victims who died from torture when payment was slow. Bodies were dumped like garbage on lonely roads. The Ladipo boys were known for their heartlessness — they killed without blinking, even women and older people if it suited them.

Ifeanyi, also known as “Ifeko,” was the devil behind the devil. Based abroad, he trained Henry Asoona and many others. He taught them how to plan, how to use fear as a weapon, and how to escape justice. Even after Asoona was neutralized in 2024 at Ladipo International Spare Parts Market, Ifeko refused to let the business die. In May 2026, he sneaked back into Nigeria to lead the remaining members for one more big score.

*The Night of Justice*

*On May 24, 2026, around 9:30 p.m., the gang prepared to strike again at Jakande Estate Gate in Ejigbo. Their target was another prominent businessman. But this time, the Lagos State Police Command was ready.*

Acting on strong intelligence, operatives moved swiftly. When the gang sighted the police, they opened fire without hesitation. The sound of heavy guns filled the night — AK-47 rifles and submachine guns roaring in the darkness.

The police responded with superior firepower. In the fierce gun battle, four members of the notorious Ladipo Kidnap Gang were neutralized on the spot. One suspect escaped with bullet wounds but is being hunted. The police recovered a Toyota Sienna, an AK-47 with loaded magazines, a submachine gun, and keys to other vehicles linked to their past crimes.

One brave police inspector was shot in the leg during the battle, but he is recovering.

We Salute the Lagos State Police

This operation marks another strong victory in the war against violent crime in Lagos. Under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Tijani, the command has shown courage and determination. They refused to allow these predators to continue terrorizing citizens.

The neutralizing of the Ladipo Kidnap Gang is not just the end of dangerous criminals — it is a message to every kidnapper and evil syndicate: Lagos is no longer safe for you.

May the souls of the innocent victims find peace. And may the Lagos State Police Command continue to hunt down every last remnant of this evil gang until none remain.

*The streets breathe a little easier today* .

Me: Kidnappers should not be given space. There will definitely be casualties.

BREAKING: NDC TO CONDUCT DIRECT PRIMARIES ON 28TH 29TH MAY, 2026✌️

After extensive hours of deliberations yesterday, which lasted till this morning, and in the company of the National Chairman of our party, our presidential aspirant, His Excellency Peter Obi, and other key members of the National Working Committee and Selection Committee, we received the report of the Screening Committee led by His Excellency, Sam Egwu.

We thank the committee for its painstaking work, which lasted almost a week, especially in handling the staggering number of aspirants that far exceeded our expectations. We also thank all the aspirants for their confidence in the NDC, as well as those who made donations to the party and chose our platform to express their political ambitions across the country. Their numbers run into thousands, and we wish them the very best.

Following a briefing at the joint meeting of the Selection Committee and the Screening Committee, and in view of the constraints of time, it was decided that all those who purchased Expression of Interest Forms would be allowed to participate in the primaries in their various constituencies.

Only successful candidates will report to the party secretariat for documentation and, in the process, pay for nomination forms and complete other necessary forms.

The teams for the primaries have been selected, comprising senior officials of the party, and have been deployed to every state to conduct the exercise with the support of stakeholders and local leaders. We wish them success in this important assignment.

Our party is women- and youth-friendly, and we urge the teams to pay attention to aspirants with the capacity to win elections. They should liaise with stakeholders and remain open and fair in protecting the interests of all aspirants because, at the end of the day, we are a platform for everyone.

We call for violence-free primaries and reiterate our zero tolerance for violent behaviour. The party will take serious action against anyone who resorts to violence, threats, intimidation, or disorderly conduct.

As a result of the tight timelines we are working with, aspirants are expected to proceed with the primaries from tomorrow, 28th and 29th May 2026, using their Expression of Interest Forms to enable them participate. An Appeal Panel will also be inaugurated to look into complaints that may arise during the process.

Note that, in line with the party guidelines, the primaries will be conducted through direct primaries at the constituency level for State Assembly positions, while House of Representatives, Senate, governorship, and presidential affirmations will take place at the various Local Government Headquarters.

Final results will be announced at the party’s National Secretariat by the Selection Committee and the NEC. We strongly recommend consensus where necessary.

We call for understanding and support because of the limited time available, which made it impossible for the party to fully implement the electronic system we had designed for all party primaries and congresses.

As I said at the dinner with aspirants, this will be the last primary election in the NDC to be conducted manually. We understand that the manual process may not be perfect due to time constraints and logistical challenges, and we ask everyone to bear with us. Our intentions are sincere, and future primaries will be conducted electronically to minimise complaints and other challenges.

Finally, we urge the teams to be fair to all aspirants, collaborate with stakeholders and interest groups, and work closely with INEC and security agencies to ensure a peaceful, credible, and transparent process.

Bear with us and join us as we strive to build an enduring modern political institution, not a special-purpose vehicle for any individual political interest, but a party that will outlast all of us.

NDC — Service!

Press Statement

To God be the glory.

I have been officially affirmed as the consensus candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the Kogi East Senatorial District in the upcoming 2027 General Elections.

This mandate is not just a personal victory; it is a collective testament to our shared vision for the progress and transformation of our people across the nine local government areas of Kogi East.

I want to express my profound gratitude to our party executives, delegates, stakeholders, traditional rulers, and the grassroots leadership who stood firmly by me and endorsed this journey. Your trust is a debt I intend to repay with dedicated, transparent, and impactful service.

I also commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials for their presence and commitment to ensuring the process was transparent and credible.

As an entrepreneur and founder of the Idris HK Foundation, my life’s work has always been centered on building, developing and creating opportunities for our people. From the donation of transformers and solar street lights to communities in Ankpa and Ofu, to the ongoing Ankpa Electricity Project aimed at ending years of darkness, borehole projects, scholarships, medical outreaches and youth empowerment programmes, I have remained committed to improving lives.

I am now ready to bring that same energy, dedication and structural development to the Senate for the entire Kogi East Senatorial District.

Our journey toward purposeful, people-oriented representation, massive electrification, agricultural revitalization, youth empowerment, and infrastructural growth has officially begun. I sincerely mean it when I say that Kogi East will experience unprecedented and positive representation. Together, we can build a senatorial district we will all be proud of.

BREAKING: IDRIS HK EMERGES AS SDP CONSENSUS CANDIDATE FOR KOGI EAST SENATORIAL RACE

It was a beehive of activities in Idah, the ancestral headquarters of the Igala people, on Saturday, 23rd May 2026, as the Social Democratic Party (SDP) conducted its primary election for the Kogi East Senatorial Seat.

Addressing party faithful and delegates before the commencement of the exercise, Alhaji Idris Hussain Kashim, popularly known as Idris HK, urged attendees to observe a minute silence in honour of the late Dr Stephen Makoji Achema — widely regarded as a political mobiliser of repute and a pillar of the SDP in Kogi East.

He prayed for the grace to continue from where Achema, whom he described as his foster father, stopped his political journey before his passage.

The event, which attracted a large turnout of women and youths, also witnessed commendations for the humanitarian and developmental efforts of Idris HK across Kogi East. His interventions were said to include road construction, borehole projects, rural electrification through the donation of transformers to several communities, and other philanthropic gestures across the senatorial district.

In his remarks, the Zonal Chairman of the SDP, Hon. Noah Emmanuel Akwu, commended the party’s candidate for his commitment to the development of Kogi East, noting that many of his projects were funded from personal resources.

PRIMARY ELECTION
The primary election was supervised by representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The Returning Officer, Alhaji Idris AbdulRahman, appreciated delegates for the peaceful conduct displayed before, during, and after the exercise.

ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
In his acceptance speech, the candidate thanked delegates for their confidence and support, promising to uphold the ideals of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Alhaji Idris HK also appreciated Hon. Gowon Enenche, the SDP House of Representatives candidate for Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency, for his efforts in fostering unity within the party prior to his emergence as consensus candidate.

He further thanked Comrade Collins Onogu, President of the Igala Youth Council, for his endorsement and support.

Speaking on development plans, Idris HK disclosed that the proposed Ankpa Electrification Project is estimated at N320 million. He also promised to extend similar electrification projects to Omala Local Government Area in due course.

At the end of the exercise, the party formally presented its flag to Idris HK as the SDP consensus candidate for the Kogi East Senatorial election.

To my Igala people, let me tell us something if we don’t stand up now, if we don’t wake up and take action, if we don’t remain firm and united, then in a few years from now, we may begin to watch our identity, our voice, and our heritage slowly fade away. And when that time comes, we will regret every wrong decision we made and every silence we kept.
