Happy Thanksgiving!

Our volunteers are opening the Cookeville Community Cares Warming Shelter for guests today, Wednesday, November 26, at 6 PM at the United Church of Cookeville, 502 Gould Drive.

We will remain open as long as dangerous cold temperatures persist, which looks like at least a week of nighttime temperatures below freezing. Recovery Kitchen will be preparing a Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day, and we need support well beyond that.

A short list of things we need includes:
Prayers
Cases of water
Powdered coffee creamer
Hot Chocolate in tubs
Sugar
Soda in 2-liter bottles or cans
Breakfast Casseroles, Breakfast Burritos, etc
Soups and Chillis in the gallon zip lock bags are fantastic
Lasagna & casseroles
Milk and Eggs
Paper towels
Toilet paper
Hot Hands

If you prefer to make one-time or monthly contributions to support our efforts, there is a Zeffy link on our page for that. We use Zeffy for donations, so we receive 100% of the contributions. You can zero out the suggested Zeffy fee if you don't wish to pay that.

Thank you for being a loving and caring community.
