🚨 Clearing Up Misinformation 🚨

We want to address confusion regarding our Oregon firefighters and equipment sent to California to assist with the wildfires. There have been false claims online and in some news outlets about our equipment being delayed due to emissions tests.

To be clear: THIS IS FALSE.

Here are the facts:

Oregon firefighters departed mid-morning on Wednesday, 1/8, from various locations across the state.

After arriving in Sacramento that evening, the teams performed a routine safety check with CAL Fire on Thursday morning, 1/9, to ensure the engines were mechanically sound. This is a standard safety process, not a delay.

All 15 strike teams completed the safety checks and arrived in Southern California on Thursday. They began their 24-hour shifts early Friday morning.

No engines were turned away. Our equipment meets the highest safety standards to protect the safety of our firefighters and ensure reliable operation during wildfire response.
