It’s Indigenous Peoples’ Day honoring the contributions made by the Miccosukee and Seminole people and other residents of indigenous descent. We celebrate the rich cultural traditions and resilience of historic and contemporary tribes. The first stewards of the Everglades, the Miccosukee and Seminole tribes have long cared for this unique River of Grass. Some of these images are from Swampy Meadows Community Garden at Miccosukee Village — follow them for updates and volunteer days.
