Hey everyone
My latest podcast on the Beach Boys with a tribute to Brian Wilson was another great topic with great surfin' music and great harmonies.

Next podcast on The History of Rock and Roll for this Monday, July 7th, will be an interesting, but an exciting topic on the 40th Anniversary of Live Aid: The Day Rock Ruled the World, one of the most powerful moments in music history.
Live Aid wasn’t just a concert; it was a global call to action. With Bob Geldof and Midge Ure at the helm, two massive stages, Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia became the epicenters of a worldwide musical movement to fight famine in Ethiopia. Over 1.9 billion viewers across 150 countries watched live as rock royalty took the stage and changed history forever.
We’ll relive the unforgettable moments: Queen’s electrifying set, U2’s breakout performance, David Bowie’s soul-stirring vocals, and the awe of seeing Phil Collins perform on both sides of the Atlantic; on the same day.
From Elton John to The Who, Hall and Oates to Tom Petty, and everyone in between, the music never stopped—and neither did the impact.

The show will be podcast on Monday, July 7th by the afternoon or early evening at www.thehistoryofrockandroll.net and it'll be recorded from Debonaire Studio in Sunrise, FL. WHAM-O!!!

Hey everyone

My latest podcast on British Rock was another fab topic with all music from the British Invasion and we thank our guests from different British Invasion tribute bands Evan Baisden from The British Invasion, Bob Murdock and Lee Scott Howard of The British Invasion Years, Jim Logie from Itchycoo Park and Peter Schindelman from Union Jack British Invasion Band for coming on.

Next topic for this Thursday, July 3rd will be on The Beach Boys, as we take a heartfelt dive into the shimmering sounds of California sunshine as we honor the life and legacy of the late, great Brian Wilson, who passed away on June 11th, 2025.
He wasn’t just the co-founder of the Beach Boys; he was the sonic architect behind some of the most emotionally resonant and harmonically rich music ever to grace a turntable.
We’ll play through the surf anthems, lush orchestrations, and soul-searching lyrics that defined a generation.
From “Surfer Girl” to “God Only Knows” to “Good Vibrations,” Brian Wilson brought a spiritual depth and production that elevated pop into art. He wasn’t just making records, he was sculpting symphonies out of heartache and harmony.
Join me as we revisit the golden age of surf rock, the birth of the California sound, and the rise of the studio genius who taught the world that rock music could be as emotional, experimental, and symphonic as anything that had come before it.
This episode is a tribute, a love letter, and a celebration of one of rock’s most gentle and gifted minds.

The show will be podcast this Thursday, July 3rd by the afternoon or early evening at www.thehistoryofrockandroll.net and it'll be recorded from Debonaire Studio in Sunrise, FL. WHAM-O!!!!!
