Hey everyone

My latest podcast on Rock n Roll Memorabilia was another fab show and a big thanks to Tom Fontaine for coming on my show and different items and Memorabilia he has collected.

Next topic on The History of Rock and Roll for this Thursday, September 25th, will be on the year 1970, 55 Years On – Songs, Stories & the Year That Changed Rock, as we’re setting the dial to 1970, fifty-five years on, to relive a turning point when 60s ideals splashed into a new decade of sound and style. The tour of what surrounded the music: marquee films, breakout TV moments, shifting fashion, and cultural milestones that colored the soundscape of 1970.
We’ll connect the dots between what you heard on the radio and what you saw on the screen, and why these songs still feel like the closing track of one era and the opening riff of the next.
Expect era-defining tracks and deep cuts from Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, The Guess Who, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Badfinger, Chicago, Three Dog Night, The Jackson 5, The Carpenters, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Neil Diamond, James Taylor, and more.
We’ll trace shimmering harmonies, Laurel Canyon acoustic glow, and radio-ready hooks that still hit like a first listen.
We’ll also rewind through the headlines, pop-culture moments, films and TV that framed the music, from theater marquees to living-room sets, and the world stage with President Richard Nixon in the White House.
It’s a mixtape of memory and melody from a single, seismic year.

The show will be podcast this Thursday, September 25th by the afternoon or early evening at www.thehistoryofrockandroll.net and it's recorded from Debonaire Studio in Sunrise, FL. WHAM-O!!!!

Hey Everybody
My latest podcast on Psychedelic Rock was an interesting topic and of course on remembering guitar legend Jimi Hendrix.

Next topic for this Monday, September 22nd will be on Rock & Roll Memorabilia – Autographs, Artifacts & the Stories They Tell.
We’re opening the vault on rock history, a tour through rare memorabilia and autographs from the artists who defined an era.
From stage-used treasures to press kits, posters, and signed pieces, we’ll spotlight collections featuring The Beatles, The Monkees, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Elton John, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Ricky Nelson, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Badfinger and more.
We’ll talk authenticity, provenance, and preservation, what makes an item museum-worthy, and the personal stories that turn a signature into living history.
With a special guest we're welcoming back is Tom Fontaine.
A collector since 1963 (at age five!), Tom has spent over five decades building one of the largest individual archives of rock & pop culture memorabilia in the world. His collection has been featured on CNN, PBS, BBC, and credited across film and major publications.
Tom’s book work showcases museum-quality artifacts and the personal stories behind them, spanning The Beatles, Elvis & Sun Records, Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Elton John, Marilyn, James Dean, and far beyond.
On this episode, we’ll focus on Tom’s Beatles holdings and highlights from his volumes, including Rare and The Beatles: Looking Back, The Final Trip, and dig into how he sources, vets, and preserves historically significant pieces across music, movies, television, animation, politics, and sports.

The show will be podcast this Monday, September 22nd at www.thehistoryofrockandroll.net by the afternoon or early evening and it's recorded from Debonaire Studio in Sunrise, FL. WHAM-O!!!
