What if a new year is not about changing everything, but about paying attention to what is already good and growing?
If a quieter, more intentional year is something you want too… keep reading.

It is the last day of the year, and I am sitting here in a Pennsylvania hotel room at 4am as snow falls outside the window thinking about the life we are building. Not the one that ends up in a perfect picture. The real one. Breakfast together. My Bible open. Penny Jo stretched across both of us like she belongs in the middle. A life that feels like home.

In the year ahead, I want to stay present. I want to notice what is already here instead of rushing toward what is next. God has brought us this far. I trust Him with the rest.

I want to love my husband in the everyday choices. When we married this year, we braided three cords to show that God would hold us together, He is center. We washed each other’s hands to leave old scars behind and choose to serve each other going forward. I want our home to keep reflecting that. Peaceful. Steady.

I want to show up for our kids in ways that matter. Listening. Encouraging. Praying for them whether they know it or not. Reminding them that they are loved and supported.

I want to feed our family and the people we care about. Simple meals. A table that is used often. Friends who feel welcome without anything needing to be perfect. Just life shared together.

I want to keep growing Sol Table one faithful step at a time. No rush. No pressure. Just doing what God puts in front of me. Even when it’s a bit scary.

And I want to notice the everyday gifts. A bed made. Light catching a vase of flowers on the table. Penny excited to see Jason walk in from work. A lit candle. Feather dusting. A hummingbird in the summer . A wave from a neighbor. A home that feels peaceful. A life I am grateful to live.

This is what I want for the new year.
To be present.
To love what is here.
To trust God with every next step.

If you’re welcoming a quieter year too, I’d love to know…
What is one simple thing you want to pay attention to in 2026?

And if a simpler, steadier year sounds good to you…
yes and amen 🤍

Happy New Year 🤍

This year, I want to make my table longer and my welcome louder.
Because people do not just need food, they need to feel wanted.
And a meal shared is a prayer lived out.

Nourish the Households You Love
1. Keep a plate warming for somebody who might need a little kindness tonight.
2. Pray while you stir, God sits right there beside the stove.
3. If someone drops by, pull up another chair, biscuits stretch farther than you think.
4. Pack a tiny extra bite, wrap it up like a favor to tomorrow.
5. Leaving a casserole on a doorstep says “I see you” better than almost anything.
6. Leftovers hit different when you add a little butter and a whole lot of love.
7. Teach a young one how to whisk, stir, and taste, that is how stories get passed down.
8. Take one slow bite that reminds you you are home.
9. Wipe the counters with gratitude, the kitchen is where blessings show up first.
10. Praise God for the roof, the laughter, and the full bellies, He is the reason we gather.

With love from my kitchen to yours,
Kandi

Sol Table paused this year so I could catch my breath, care for my home, and pay attention to what God was planting in front of me.

Now, I am stretching slowly toward a new season.
Limited offerings,
Simple menus,
Healing teas,
A community that feels like family.

If you want to stay in the loop as things ease back to life, make sure you are following and feel free to message me. I would love to keep nourishing your body and spirit.

Thank you for giving me time to reset.
Thank you for still being here.
Sol Table is slowly opening her doors again.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends.

As I’m in the kitchen today, moving between dishes and getting things ready for my family, I keep thinking about how Sol Table began with a simple hope to nourish women and families with prayed-over food.

This little business of mine has carried me from Denton, Corinth, and Lake Dallas to my new home in Coppell, and every single order, message, and “Kandi, this helped me,” has meant more than you know.

Thank you for welcoming my hand-blended teas, elderberry syrups, granolas, and meals into your homes. Thank you for supporting a small, woman-owned business that is still finding its footing in a new city. Thank you for letting me pray over your food. I never take that lightly.

Whether your table is loud or quiet today, full house or small gathering, I pray you feel nourished, seen, and held.

“Slow down, breathe, and taste the moment. The rest will take care of itself.”

From my Sol Table to yours,
Happy Thanksgiving.

If you are trying to find your footing with God again, I know that feeling.

I forget things that help me.
I forget things that make me breathe a little easier.
And then when I finally remember, I think…why did I ever stop doing this?

One of those things is so simple.
Before I walk into a room, I pause

Then I picture Jesus stepping in first.
You go ahead, Lord. I will come right behind You… Almost like I open the door and motion Him in.

It brings me that peace, you know.
That little shift inside I forget I need.

And it works anywhere at all.
Doctor’s office. Hospital room. A hard talk you really do not want to have.
Even walking into your kitchen in the morning.

Let Him go in first.
Let Him be the calm before you step in.

You can let Him be your cleaning partner.

If I am dusting, I will say, thank You for what is here.
If I am wiping the mirror, I will say, help me see myself the way You see me.
If I am making the bed, I will say, let this be a peaceful place tonight.

Nothing difficult or intimidating.
Nothing deep.
Just letting God into the real parts of my life.

It is basically opening the door and saying,
Come on in. You are welcome here.

If you needed this today, same. I needed it too.
