Do we EVER introduce ourselves on here? Usually it's install day and you might catch a blur of one of us zooming through a shot with a million places to be, SO,,, here we go. You know the work and the Sutton Place name has probably popped up in your scroll occasionally. However, in social media rules it says you have to use your manners and introduce yourself occasionally. You can head to our website for the formal bios but for the sake of Sunday mornings and Social media, this is a casual summary. 😉

This is Kimberly, who started it all.
-Kimberly has a super power: she can pick color and match shades and tones unlike anyone you have ever met.

- She will emphatically explain why having the correct lighting is powerful in a home to achieve the planned results

- Kimberly has watched trends come, go and come again. Sometimes that can be fun, a new way to style an old trend.
Sometimes they were so bad the first time that they are a nonstarter this time.

-Kimberly is passionate about not only the end result but that client's have an excellent experience with our company, always ensuring that everyone is happy to be part of the process - our customers and our team. Without either, Sutton Place would not be possible.

If Kimberly is not planning the next kitchen, talking to a vendor about an order or working with client to make cabinet selections, she is most likely spending time with her family.

She and her husband, Donald, still love doing projects together. You will most likely meet him at some point as he is a 3rd partner and usually backs the Sutton Place team up as well as handles additional things for Sutton Place that may not always be client facing.

You may find her baking pineapple upside down cake. IYKYK and if not, once you start working with Sutton Place, ask nicely and she might bake you one. They are as legendary as her signature color superpower. But, keep that to yourself.

And, I am Andrea Sutton. I grew up in the world of design. After working in corporations at a national level, I made the decision to merge all of those experiences and became a partner at Sutton Place Design.

-After a decade with the company,I decided to sit for my General Contractors license. Why? It was frustrating to watch our clients struggle with contractors overpromising and underdelivering and since we were involved in the projects heavily anyway and knew the job, why not ? .

-Adding General Contracting to our resume, adding Sutton Place Homes to our family of companies. is something I am proud of, predominately because now I CAN help resolve challenges that happen .

- My favorite part of the project is the framing. I love the smell f lumber, I love seeing a shape start to take place and walk through the "rooms." Every single time.

- My day is a variable and sometimes I don't end up where I thought I would. Usually, it entails walking a job site to check updates or make decisions, meet with clients for the same reasons, working closely with our design team for current and upcoming projects. It is not unheard of that I end up as extra hands on a project through so you may find me with tools or helping where I am needed to get the job done well.

- I do oversee a lot of our marketing since it is my background and i enjoy it. If you are chatting with us on IG or FB, it is most likely me.

-When I don't have clay on my boots or sawdust in my hair, you will probably find me with my kiddos doing things like riding roller coasters or on a photoshoot somewhere focused on an animal, armed with a chocolate bar most likely. Or reading - I am a self aware nerd and a proud bookworm.

So that is us. We aren't incredible fancy, seldom use the proper french terms for design and will roll up our sleeves to ensure your project is better that your hoped. Family is important , our company is our legacy, people are important to us and we like to work hard and laugh a lot!

We are local, we are custom and we know our area of expertise from the top to the bottom. The expansion of Sutton Place into the building side allowed us the ability to go from dirt to turn key ,move -in ready. You bring the lot and everything else is possible with only the limits set by you. Our team can develop the dirt, handle electrical, plumbing, roofing, HVAC, flooring, framing- all the way to hanging the last window treatment and placing the last sofa and pillow in position. We really do mean full service! And now you know the faces behind the name. We are Sutton Place.

Everyone knows that we build homes and remodel spaces but did you know we also create the designs for every home we touch as part of our service ? Our designs are as functional
As they are beautiful.

The way the history actually goes is that we have been designing for forty years as Sutton Place Interior Design with contractors , which turned into our own contracting company Sutton Place Homes and now there is nothing that we can not build . You bring the dirt or the outdated , we take care of the rest . It is as easy as it gets .

In. my best movie narration voice.....

"That's me. I'm Andrea Sutton and I own Sutton Place Homes. We are the building half and partner company of Sutton Place Design and Build. And, while this may look a little out of the box, it was no where near as tricky as some of the custom requests we hear from clients when we help remodel or build their dream home. And it certainly was no where near as scary as the look my project manager gives me when I bring another change order over to him. He's from New Jersey. He can't help it.

And, yes, I love to have fun, no I may not be the average "contractor" that you expect when you think of building a home (I can barely get into most of my team's trucks!) However, that is the best part. Because when we discuss your vision and our process to bring it to reality, you might find we bring something you never knew to the plan. Something you can't quite put your finger on or define but it's there. I can tell you what it is.

It is the family focused process, the way we learn how you live and what you need in the space, not just what looks pretty in a photo shoot. I know my clients needs, wish lists and plans as well as budgets forward and backward. Kimberly, my partner, knows everything about your paint color, your furniture layout, why that cabinet needs a certain type of pull and who is working on your jobsite by first name basis , she probably can name all of their family members as well.

I am not trying to sell you more square footage or selections you can't afford or something overly trending because I will win a competition or end up in a magazine. I know - we are told all the time to "play the game" It just isn't our way,

Instead, we focus on your. We will guide you to the best way to invest, the places on your floor plans that might be changed to function better daily and explain why investing in something high dollar over here matters while you can skip the extra cost on something else. We build as if it were for our own family. I don't build 1000 houses at a time that look exactly the same (different strokes and all of that ) and I don't USUALLY build the 10,000,000.00 homes. We have found we love to build homes for clients that want a custom home, with quality materials, built by skilled laborors and tradesman that you will know names and faces of, with a design team that allows you to customize your space with anything you want (we don't do packages - it is all one at a time. ) and we don't do allowances without staying in the game. Things go sideways fast that way. At the end of the day, you can pass this home down to your kids or sell in when the time comes knowing it was built well and with timeless style and quality in every step.

I do love to have fun but we know when to take things seriously and our clients are the priority. We would not be able to state that we are a
5 - star reviewed, second generation , fourty year old company if we didn't.
