A Nimmons man was arrested Monday after Clay County deputies found him lying in a roadside ditch and later discovered methamphetamine in his room, authorities said.

The Corning Police Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time dispatcher position.

Qualification requirements include: a high school diploma or GED, U.S. citizenship and a minimum age of 18, ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays, successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening, and strong communication and multi-tasking skills with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
