Even during a pandemic Corning is still moving forward to beautify our city. The Art Alley is underway and the city is actively clearing property that needs cleaned. So far in the last couple of months three properties or areas on 3rd Street have had structures torn down and ground leveled.

🎨Check out the transformation of Corning, Arkansas’ Art Alley, an initiative that was spearheaded by Growing Corning Together (GCT). Art Alley is a beautification project that rotates mural installments from local artists. Each artist is given a spot to paint and design for a limited time. When the next rotation occurs, new artists are able to claim spots, creating an ever-changing and engaging demonstration of community pride!

Growing Corning Together was formed in Corning, AR when passionate residents decided to bring about change and hope after the closing of their local Walmart.

This is only 1️⃣ of the 🆒 projects GCT is working on. With their dedication to business retention, city beautification, and community revitalization, they are constantly innovating and finding new ways to serve their community. CPED’s Breakthrough Solutions team assisted GCT along the way and is proud of their progress & efforts.

This photo was brought to me here at the Corning Senior Center. They are trying to figure out who the gentleman on the far right is. As you can tell, they have identified the other two. I believe this photo was taken at the old Senior Center. If anyone can help with his identity, it would be greatly appreciated!!
