Igloo Magazine

Igloo Magazine igloomag.com/about Igloo Magazine's mission from day one was to introduce readers to the burgeoning undergrowth of electronic musicians spanning the globe.

Pulling together a vast tapestry of like-minded contributors, the virtual Igloo doors officially opened December of 2000. The goal was (and still is) to provide coverage from the most obscure to the relatively well-known musicians creating left-of-center music not necessarily covered in general music media ::

Armed with a handful of literary musical masterminds, Igloo Magazine has published artic

les in the capacity of reviews, features and profiles for musicians and imprints that wouldn't normally receive the light of digital ink. Striving at the delivery of well executed coverage, Igloo Magazine continues to promote the best in many electronic genre's from one spectrum to the next ::

Igloo Magazine — SPRO :: Haihat (NOCUEDO Editions)
RIYL: pole (original)

"Haihat’s sonic journey unfolds as a seamless, immersive experience—seven tracks woven into one fluid, textured narrative. In contrast, SPRO’s sonic architecture dives into raw abstraction, layering fuzz, static, and fractured rhythms into a rich, dissonant soundscape that evolves from gritty turbulence to haunting beauty." ~Pietro DS

Igloo Magazine — Glinca :: Tament (Fluid Audio) ///

"In the current landscape of experimental ambient and electroacoustic music, Tament stands out precisely because it resists easy categorization. It’s an album that doesn’t force interpretation but opens a space for it, a set of sonic invitations that reward patience and close listening. Glinca doesn’t so much give answers as pose questions about how we listen, about what we overlook, and about how sound itself carries memory." ~Don H.

Igloo Magazine — Pabellón Sintético :: Machine for living (Cyclical Dreams) ///

"Pabellón Sintético is the astral sound project of Argentine artist Pablo Ariel Bilbao, merging analog and digital synthesis to explore cosmic ambient and Berlin School-inspired electronics. His latest album, Machine For Living, blends cinematic textures, pulsating sequences, and immersive atmospheres into what’s been called “architectural fine electronic ambient.” Meticulously crafted, it unfolds as a luminous journey through memory, imagination, and the infinite horizon of sound." ~Rodrigo P.

Igloo Magazine — VA :: Echoes of the Hollow Earth (Cryo Chamber) ///

"Hollow Earth myths and post-apocalyptic visions merge in this sonic descent into subterranean folklore, where lost civilizations and unseen beings haunt vast underground realms. Featuring artists like Dead Melodies, Beyond the Ghost, The Next Commuter, Northumbria, Dronny Darko, Claymation, and Ugasanie, these dark ambient soundscapes evoke ruined cities, cryptic transmissions, and shadowy creatures. Through dense drones and haunting textures, we’re guided into the aftermath of civilization—where memory, myth, and decay converge." ~Robin BJ
