We could be looking at a cold or rainy Christmas, possibly even both! Model runs are suggesting a cold and rainy Christmas holiday with temperatures as low as 35°, but not quite freezing! As we get towards next Monday (12/19) we will get a better picture of the Holiday weekend weather event.

There is a 8 thousand acre prescribed burn taking place in Refugio, leading to smokey conditions in Corpus Christi.

Residents and visitors of Corpus Christi should act soon to prepare for Friday’s winter weather event. Sleet accumulation is likely, up to two inches in the Central/Coastal Nueces Cnty areas.

Inland areas may see light snow, no snow accumulation is expected to take place at this time.
