We would like to congratulate Tim Sanchez, of Robstown high school, as our student athlete of the week. Sanchez, a senior, has a 4.67 grade point average, is a member of National Honor Society and is captain of the Picker football team. He is a multi-sport athlete in football, basketball, track and field and golf.
Tim is currently undecided on which college he will attend next fall, but he plans to earn a Bachelor of Science and pursue a career in nursing. His long term goal is to become a certified registered nurse anesthesiologist. Sanchez has received certifications through Robstown in the following: EKG, phlebotomy, and CPR.
Tim has volunteered his time in the Robstown community by working concession stands at middle school games, working the chains for JV football games and various fundraisers. He is also highly active with his church as a valued member that collects the donations during service.

Congratulations to Bella Garcia, of Tuloso Midway High School, as our Student Athlete of the Week! Bella, a senior at TM, has a 3.9 gpa and is a member of the Rotary Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Latino Culture Club and Student Council. She is a multi-sport athlete and a four-year captain for the Cherokees in both volleyball and basketball.

Bella has received around a dozen athletic scholarship offers, including both D1 and D2 schools. She plans to announce her school choice during the fall signing day later this year. Her goal is to major in psychology with an emphasis in sports psychology.

Bella has volunteered her time with the Boys and Girls Clubs, C.C. Storm and the Little Spikers and Dribblers volunteer coach program at Tuloso Midway. She is also highly active with her church as a children’s assistant and leader in the youth groups.

Recently, Bella set a new T-M school volleyball record with her 1700th kill. She is also the first student athlete to be recognized as a record four time Student Athlete of the Week.
