Where are all them fair weather fisherman?

One is 3 years old, has a lot of time submerged in salt water and has caught a lot of fish. The other is straight out of the box. My first VR 175 has zero internal corrosion and has been a workhorse in the surf and offshore. Experiences may vary, but I can't say enough about these reels. Buy once, cry once.

My first landed Tarpon. I have hooked many over the last couple years, but finally stuck one.
Rowdy fish to get hands on. Worse spot to land.

The landing wasn’t exactly clean, especially for a smaller, very green model, but the release good as it swam off strong.

I learned more that night fishing with many experienced Tarpon fisherman than I have chasing these fish on my own, and it was a privilege getting to do it.
