You may know Channel 98.9. But did you know we’re a nonprofit?

We’re an independent, non-commercial community radio station — locally operated, locally focused, and not controlled by a large corporation.

Every day, we bring you local news, local sports, local events and local voices. We give regional musicians a place to be heard, broadcast Corry Beavers football, provide video coverage of area sports, and help bring community events like the Corry Beavers Homecoming Tailgate and Santa’s Mailroom to life.

And we give back to the community. In 2025 alone, we gave more than $100,000 to listeners and area families through contests, prizes and local attractions.

This Tuesday is Erie Gives. A donation helps keep independent local media and journalism alive. And your donation is eligible for a share of the Erie Gives prorated matching funds, helping your gift go even further.

Channel 98.9 Program Director Brian Silvis talks with City of Corry Police Clerk Gretchen Douglas about this year's National Night Out, coming up Tuesday, August 4.

During the interview, Gretchen explains some important changes for 2026, including the event's new location and new hours, and previews the many activities planned for the afternoon. Families can look forward to carnival games, bounce houses, a Touch-a-Truck display, community vendors, food, live music, face painting, K-9 Miso demonstrations and much more.

National Night Out is designed to strengthen the partnership between law enforcement and the community while providing a fun, family-friendly atmosphere for all ages.
