🏆 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗗𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲! 🔥

The 2026 NSCA Southeast Regional Championship at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida brought out 706 of the best shooters in the country—and Team Re*****on rose right to the top.

🥇 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 captured his second consecutive regional championship after also winning the Northeast Regional in May. Powell described the targets as some of the toughest courses competitors have faced all year, proving once again why the Regional Championships are such an important test for Team USA selection.

🏆 Powell also added the 𝗣𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 title to an already incredible week.

👑 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲 was absolutely dominant, earning 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 honors in both the Main Event and Prelim while also taking home the Sporting Lite title.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿…𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁?

That’s exactly what editor Mathew Gay explored during a visit to Mag-na-Port International with Ken Kelly and the team behind one of the most recognized names in barrel porting.

From sporting clays and s***t to doubles trap and the ring games, reducing muzzle flip can make a major difference when it comes to getting back on target for that critical second shot.

Using real-world testing with ShotKam footage, barrel-mounted lasers, and pattern plate analysis, the results were impressive—ported barrels showed a 66–75% reduction in muzzle rise depending on the load.

But this story goes far beyond numbers.
It’s about innovation, craftsmanship, family legacy, and a lifelong passion for the shooting sports. From the legendary history of founder Larry Kelly to the modern work being done by Ken Kelly today, this was one of those experiences every shooter would appreciate.

And yes…after spending the day there, we all started thinking about which guns in the safe might need to make a trip to Michigan. 😄

Brandon Powell is putting together a run that shooters will be talking about for a long time. 🏆🏆🏆

𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 just captured his 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗡𝗦𝗖𝗔 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 title at M&M Hunting Preserve in New Jersey, defeating a massive field of 828 shooters by three targets.

And Brandon wasn’t finished there...

🏆 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗨𝗦𝗔 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗴𝘂𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 brought some of the nation’s best s***t shooters together May 16–20, and beyond the scores and podium finishes, it’s always the people and stories that make these events special.

The very first Shotgun Gear Cup is in the books-
With a 180 brave souls fighting a terrible draw from Mother Nature basically every day- you should see how pretty it is here now that everyone has left- beautiful (dry) sunset tonight.

Congratulations to our first Cup winner Kenneth Ross with an awesome 92 on a pretty technical course.

Congrats also to Lola Hollis who is our lady HOA champion in the main event she had a good weekend all around even in the weather!

I don’t know where to start thanking everyone. 🔥Team Federal’s Derrick Mein just made a HUGE statement on the world stage in Kazakhstan! 🇺🇸🥈

Competing at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun event in Almaty, Mein battled all the way down to the 𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐄 in an absolutely stacked Men’s Trap final. Starting the final in 6th place, Derrick went on an unbelievable run of 𝟏𝟗 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐒 to climb into medal position and secure the Silver Medal for Team USA! 🇺🇸💥

It took a NEW WORLD RECORD from the gold medal winner to edge out Mein. Let that sink in for a minute. 👀

This marks Derrick’s best ISSF World Cup finish and proves once again why he’s one of the toughest competitors on the planet. 🌎🎯
