Good Morning Friends!!

So happy to report "The Campfire Hangout" was a success!!!

The weather was perfect, the chili, cornbread, hotdogs, garden fresh veggies, cookies and brownies were delish and the company was even better!!!

The firepit worked perfectly and was the perfect height for grilling hotdogs and marshmallows to perfection!

A big shout out to all who came and we can't wait until the next "Campfire Hangout"!!!!

Good Morning Friends!

I am soooo excited!!!

Tonight we are having our first " Campfire Hangout"!!! We are breaking in our new firepit by inviting our friday night life group over to break bread and "Hang" around the campfire for "Sharing some Love and Good Conversation".❤️

So stay tuned...now time to get this house in order, decorate the firepit area and get some snacks ready!!!!

Happy Thursday Friends!!!

The Tomatoes are coming in! I have been busy picking and letting ripen off the vine as they have been being targeted by the deer.

I then bag and toss in the freezer when ripe, until I have some time to process. I think this weekend may be Salsa Making Time!!!!! 💃💃

Happy Wednesday Y'all!!!

Last night I decided to clean out my refrigerator....now let's be honest...how often do ya all clean your fridges out? I mean I pitch stuff regularly, if it is past it's prime for eating, but what about wiping the entire thing out?

I honestly can not remember when I took shelves out and washed the door down. I am embarrassed to say for sure but I know it has been maybe around the holidays last year? 😅

Am I the only one who doesn't make such things more of a priority????

Anywho...it is done now and looking fresh. I even put a box of baking soda on the order for groceries tomorrow to help keep it fresh too! Lol. This girl tries folks, i really do.🙃

If I must be totally transparent we are having our Life Group over friday (we meet weekly) for a night around the campfire so I made a vat of chili for the meal and needed room to store it in the fridge until friday night..because everyone knows chili is better when it marinates! Also a great way to get the house tidied up...have people over!!! Lol.
More true than I would even like to admit! Nothing like being transparent folks! 😃

Today is a "work off the farm" day so we will see what i get done for party preparation tonight! Lol. Hang around and you will get to know me better 🤣

She is definitely a Grampies girl...Grammies okay but only cuddle worthy when Grampie isn't around. Lol. She is a character. 🤣 and loved beyond measure. ❤️

Good Morning Friends!

Our garden has been invaded yet again!!!! 😡

Our Black Beauty Tomatoes have been someone's delectable snack!! Oh no!!!! Say it isn't so????

I will admit this year has been a challenge with snails,deer, hornworms and japanese beetles...we have definitely fought the battle against all of these critters. Thankfully our garden is large enough to produce enough for them and us! That maybe because we tend to plant more than enough but also because we have been diligent in doing what we can to push back against every challenge. I will admit sometimes it gets tiresome and I may have said, "No more gardens" a few times (in my frustration) BUT truely i don't know if that is an option?

So today we choose to soldier on and choose to be thankful for the abundance and blessings we are given.

I left THE " final clue" we found in the comments as to who the tomato eating culprit is!!!! 🙄

Thankful we figured it out so we can rise up against "the foe"!!! 🤣

Farm life! Gotta love it!

Last night the lils and I made homemade pizza!
It was delish and they had so much fun making it.
Lol. 😂

As a grammie I remember to slow down and include my lils in what I do, if I am able. Unfortunately as a parent I was "too busy" to do much of that. 😬

So I guess my thought today is...remember to slow down and include those around you....you will not only be thankful for the memories but who knows what "talents within" maybe birthed in them?

YES it is! 🙌👏🙌 The BIG REVEAL is here!!

I am tickled how well it turned out and how "fresh" it is in there now!

I did use some paint i had that included a primer in it from a previous project and I pulled up the old linoleum from the floor and found hard wood flooring. The floor needs to be sanded and resealed but that will go on the list for another day! Lol.
