Merrick Woldridge, an OSU student and research assistant, lost their life tragically last weekend, and another individual left the scene severely injured.

The 17-year-old driver struck both victims headings westbound in their vehicle, and was kept on scene for questioning, which she cooperating with.

Last night, Corvallis Police Department officers responded to report of a vehicle and pedestrian collision at the intersection of NW Harrison and NW 14th St. Two individuals were crossing the street southbound before the collision.

The 17-year-old female driver was operating a Toyota RAV-4 driving westbound, and struck both individuals, resulting in one fatality and the other severely injured.

At this time, Lt. Benjamin Harvey has been reached out to, and we are awaiting his reply. This is a developing story, and we will be updating as information is received.
