During routine maintenance, a water line was pierced with a probe while locating water lines near Brunner Hill Road in Palmyra, resulting in a boil water advisory being issued for Palmyra water customers on Brunner Hill Road, Carter Lane and Welch Lane. Town officials anticipate the advisory will be lifted by Tuesday May 5, but will verify this through sending lab samples. They will issue updated Reach Alerts to customers as they receive them.

Beginning Saturday, Jan. 24, the Harrison County Discovery Center, located at 233 N. Capitol Ave. in Corydon, will be open for persons in need. It can accommodate up to 50 people with sleeping space for up to 15 people.
