A few important reminders from local first responders;

Grill Safety: Keep grills away from buildings and never leave them unattended.

Don’t Drink & Drive: Use a designated driver or ride service—no excuses.

Pets & Noise: Fireworks can be stressful for animals. Keep your pets indoors and secure.

Fireworks Reminder:
While Ohio allows certain fireworks under state law, the City of Coshocton does not permit consumer fireworks to be discharged within city limits. Know the rules before you light anything, and be respectful of your neighbors.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Coshocton County in east central Ohio... Muskingum County in east central Ohio...

* Until 1130 PM EDT.

* At 1033 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 32 miles northwest of Frazeysburg to 33 miles southwest of Frazeysburg, or along a line from 40 miles west of Coshocton to 32 miles west of Zanesville, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD... 60 mph wind gusts and small hail.

SOURCE... Radar indicated.

IMPACT... Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Zanesville, Coshocton, Newcomerstown, New Concord, West Lafayette, South Zanesville, North Zanesville, Dresden, Frazeysburg, Philo, Warsaw, Pleasant Grove, Conesville, Fultonham, Plainfield, Nellie, Norwich, Drake, Bridgeville and Otsego.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.

It is with heavy hearts that we join the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office in mourning the tragic loss of a dedicated deputy from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. This brave public servant was struck and killed while selflessly directing traffic near the University of Cincinnati's campus. As we grieve this heartbreaking loss, our thoughts and prayers are with the deputy’s family, both in blue and in blood. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten, and we stand united in honoring their commitment to protecting our communities. Please keep the deputy's family and colleagues in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Another Prom Night is Underway!
Tonight, Coshocton High School celebrates at Lake Park Pavilion and Ridgewood High School dances the night away at their school.

As you enjoy this unforgettable night, we want to remind all high school students to PLEASE don't text and drive and PLEASE don’t drink and drive.

Your safety matters. Make smart choices, look out for your friends, and make sure everyone gets home safely. Let’s make it a night to remember for all the right reasons.

Adults (18 and Older):
