Happy 4th of July from Coshocton County Scanner!
As we celebrate Independence Day, we want to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday. Whether you’re grilling out, spending time with loved ones, or heading to local events, let’s work together to keep our community safe and respectful.
A few important reminders from local first responders;
Grill Safety: Keep grills away from buildings and never leave them unattended.
Don’t Drink & Drive: Use a designated driver or ride service—no excuses.
Pets & Noise: Fireworks can be stressful for animals. Keep your pets indoors and secure.
Fireworks Reminder:
While Ohio allows certain fireworks under state law, the City of Coshocton does not permit consumer fireworks to be discharged within city limits. Know the rules before you light anything, and be respectful of your neighbors.
See something concerning? Say something.
Send us non-emergency tips here on the page, but always call 911 in an emergency.
We’ll be monitoring the airwaves throughout the day. Check back for updates, alerts, or road closures.
From all of us at Coshocton County Scanner, have a safe, smart, and meaningful 4th of July!
